If model Y could have a 100 kwh battery pack that would be a game changer. That would make it more feasible for people to choose an EV. 75 kwh is not enough for road trips if you drive real road trips that actually in tale driving off interstates.
Downside of LFP batteries agains lithium-Ion is that they do charge slower that’s why only the low end single motor Tesla has them and not the premium or performance models.
What you are saying is more a personal perception formed from intense Chinese propaganda, that spent heavily on EV technology, forming 100S Auto Co, but are fast folding for the problem of great losses experience by the entire BEV manufacturing world, also outside China. The only Profitable EV Co. in the world is Tesla, with far superior Tech and exceptionally high productivity. Its cars are far superior to the entire competition, and expecting to grow over 50% in the next 12 months. It is my personal opinion that the Chinese BEV invasion will not materialize, until capable to build profitable competitive cars. Until then it will be very tough for the Chinese, like for all others "Tesla Killers" extremely disappointing results this far. Tesla is changing drastically the auto industry, all others I would advise to license Tesla Technology, or eventually most great OEMs will just go belly up.
I need urgent advice!!! I have a model 3 2021 SR+ and recently the battery failed, I took to service under warranty they made me sign a paper saying I will be getting an LFP battery upgrade. Long story short, a week later my app notifies me that service is done. I go to the location and pick up my car and drive away. 3 weeks later I receive another call from tesla employee telling me I need to take. my car back to them because apparently my car was not accepting the LFP battery so they had to put the same older type of battery but during the service process they had put different suspension to accommodate the LFP battery (as mentioned here in the video), so therefore they need me to go back so they can replace the upgraded suspension back to my older system of suspension that is made for non-LFP cars....... It sounds fishy to me. Why was this not communicated to me during service? Please help me with advice. Thank you
And his promise is coming to fruition... much more than any other system... everything he touches turns to gold... but hey, you can resist all you want!
He lost $25B on Twitter. Tesla stock is down 44% since 2021. He's being sued for insider trading and for misrepresenting the capabilities of FSD. Like Trump, he has a cult following that believes he can do no wrong.
And when Tesla moves (legally and from the perspective of SAE standards) to Level 3, 4, then Level 5, you unequivocally can examine the situation for a claim. By then you might have a new Tesla, or you might get a free hardware upgrade or even an incredible offer on a new Tesla. The best of the possible outcomes is that you have two or more good choices. I wouldn't speculate too much about all the possible outcomes. I have faith that Tesla will give you an attractive offer when you can use Level 5 Autonomous driving in your geography. You could also file a lawsuit against your local government for not passing a law making insurance *and* SAE Level 5 automation possible in your location.
it is and always has been a crap show. FSD = clown car software..i make typically make 30 "necessary interventions" each day (65,000 kms/year)..from ghost braking to fail to return to lane to fail to auto pass to fail (you name it)
I agree that the people who paid so much and waited many years deserve the FSD package promised no matter what Tesla has to do. At the same time , I told everyone this would happen in 2018 as it was obvious to me that the immediate push for HW 4 starting even before HW 3 was out meant they were sure HW 3 would be inadequate. People on several forums derided me.
Absolutely does not. FSD is per Musk get in tell the car where to go and it goes without intervention. I intervene on just about every drive i make. Plus it is dangerous fail in bad weather, or whenever cameras can't see, etc. Tesla will never achieve FSD with current hardware/software configuration, it needs huge improvements...FSD is clown car software..clown show Tesla's own EAP is programmed for return to lane yet FSD doesn't..clown show...Musk is a stock promoter mostly... i want my FSD money back
I think that it would be good for Tesla and Tesla buyers in the long run if this lawsuit is filed and won. Tesla needs to stop selling features that don’t exist yet, and more importantly that may never exist. It’s simply fraudulent. I love my Tesla, but at the end of the day, we are all beta testers for Tesla as their AI is learning. That’s fine, but not if they’re charging us a lot for the features we’re beta testing, and didn’t say ahead of time that these would potentially never work during the ownership of the car. Tesla and Elon Musk have to at some point learn the hard way that you can’t promise things like this, charge people for them, and then not deliver.
I have heard Elon Musk and Tesla say more than once that HW3 vehicles (AI3, as they're now called) do not have enough room in them to be upgraded to AI4 or AI5. But here's my problem with that. The interior of the new 2024 Model 3 and Model Y are not bigger than the interior of the 2018-2022 Model 3s and Ys (okay, yes, I know Model Y wasn't released until 2020), so why is there not enough room for the AI4 and AI5 computer boards and cameras etc.? I'm having a hard time believing that. As I said previously, I would be willing to even pay (a reasonable amount, maybe $1,000 to $2,000) for the upgrade. But to just flat out say you can't have it, it's not possible? I would be extremely upset.
Your grandchildren will say in the future, ' Grandpa, when you were young, did you drive car with handle?'. Technology is changing the world we know now. Bravo Tesla!
@@alexisgreene8952 You are dreaming. That Elon Musk is creepy to me what he said to Taylor Swift and supporting that authoritarian dictator Donald Trump,,,,,,,,,,,,,
You are angry about waiting for the optimization of miracle software to a 2019 hardware platform. Meanwhile my wife's 2019 Infiniti Q50 has never received even one single update. It's the same POS as when it came off the assembly line.
The current Hardware 3 cars based on my Testing can’t be dropped anywhere and perform safely. I live in rural Middle TN where very few Tesla cars and I am on a well marked road and it will fly in to business district with lots of businesses and parking lot at 55mph+ in a 30 MPH zone because they don’t have enough map data. It does not register the lower Speed Limit until the third speed limitsign. Don’t be fooled, they are not using the cameras to read speed limit signs any more they stopped on v11. V10.36 always saw the lower speed limit signs, now they don’t. I don’t have an AI 4 car to test to see if the better hardware is able to see the signs.
Our 2021 Model Y Dual Motor LR received the update to FSD (supervised) 12.5.1.5 about a week ago, but our 2018 RWD LR Model 3 is still on 12.3.6. Go figure. When we bought the Model 3, it had HW 2.5 and we got the upgrade to HW3 and it was a good decision. Even if Tesla won't do the upgrade to HW4 (AI4) for free, I would be willing to pay (a reasonable amount) to get the upgrade to HW4, but from what Elon Musk said a while back, it's not even going to be offered because the cameras and computer board for HW4 are too big and won't fit in the vehicles with HW3. Is that really true? I have no idea, but seems kind of bogus to me since the newer Model 3 and Model Y vehicles that have HW4 are basically the same inside and outside as the older HW3 vehicles as far as I can see.
Sadly Tesla has already said Hardware 3 cars are not able to be upgraded to Hardware 4. What is really sad, Tesla has removed all Hardware 3 references to FSD off their site and blog post prior to AI4 cars. I saw one video where a driver compared FSD Hardware 3 versus AI 4 and it was was definitely way different. The AI 4 has 12.3.1.3 and the Hardware 3 was newer 12.3.1.5 but it definitely wasn’t as good as the newer hardware. They also stopped all pushes of FSD 12.3.1.5 on August 28th just 4 days after first sighting. Which was same day I saw a post on facebook group where a user had it stop for red light, then all the sudden started to go even with cross traffic requiring intervention to prevent accident.

I'm not so sure the refreshed Model Y will have faster charging or a higher KW charge rate or a 800 volt high voltage architecture or more range or a new 48 volt internal architecture. The reason I'm dubious about all that is because Tesla didn't make those changes for the refreshed Model 3. But we shall see exactly what shakes out.
