IgnitionHub: To some people, cars are just a means of transportation. But not to Dominick. At a young age he fell in love with cars and he couldn't keep it to himself. He wanted to share his love and passion to the world and show people why cars are just more than a ride. With the help of his friend/cameraman Phil, they decided to create a RU-vid channel called IgnitionHub. Dom does have a wide variety of knowledge about multiple different makes and models, and if he doesn't, he will work hard until he knows that car inside and out.
I have an 2008 LX. Looks and drives like new. No paint issues at all. I bought it used with 117k miles. One owner before me, perfectly maintained. Even transmission drain and fills every 35k. Now it has 165k 5 years later. I'd trust it to drive cross country. But I do have a 2012 FJ Cruiser with only 85k miles that I take on long trips; the Civic is my daily in town driver.
I have the same 2012 Civic, same exact color with 275,000 on it. I bought it last April for $3k because of some front end damage. However mine gets about 38mpg but I know I can easily exceed that on a long interstate highway journey. I also have the original sticker when it was bought brand new. It claims the vehicle is capable of 46mpg. It was a 1 owner car and I love it. Best $3000 I've ever spent!!!
Love mine. 2012 SI bought it 1year old with 35K on her. I now have 285K on the odometer. Changed fluids, tires, brake pads and rotors ,frt struts and ball joints. The best car I've ever owned. I do all my own work. Retired mechanic.
I have a 2013. Same model. Went through three front wheel bearing, before it went 88,000 miles. (the chrome plating fell of the bearings). Three different times codes, "Emission control's". (Honda charged $500 to reset the code. The 2nd time, I bought an OBD2 scanner and reset it myself. Dealer said there was no problem, it just needs to be reset). On the 3rd gas cap. (I now put a very thin coat of grease on the rubber seal of the gas cap to keep it from getting brittle or cracking). To remove the wheels, you need to have a big hammer to hit the tires on the inside to remove them. ROAD NOISE! More road noise comes though the vehicle, than any car I've ever owned. Every little noise on the interstate is heard inside, from the rolling of the tires to the wind going over the car. If you like to listen to audiobooks in your Honda Civic, you need to have the audio maxed (on 40). It may be a good little car for a college student, a 2nd vehicle, but it's definitely not a comfortable car and I would not want to take it on a cross country trip.
Buying this car tomorrow(October 17 , 2023) for $9k… that might sound like a lot for the age but it only has 54k miles on it! Looks like it came out the lot , inside and out.. Did I make the right choice?
2:33 "average fuel mileage 26.6mpg" Finally, someone else drives their 2012 civic harder than I do! (I bought the 5-speed manual so I'm required to flog it) It's the modern-day version of a 1980s Volvo. Regular maintenance and it'll last forever... except maybe the pins that hold the bumpers on.
I already own this car but just think that I own the LX because in Pakistan there is Oriel and Non Oriel Instead of LX and EX and mine is a non Oriel Manual Honda Civic 2014 but the change of the 2012 Civic wasn't brought to Pakistan. I wish I had the Japanese Version of This car as well
👏👏👏 Sterile yes,😂 (play with the colors) so smooth you hardly have to ask for compulsion. Simple for those who like to have understated FUN 🤩 It drives like a fighter jet, no doubt. ❤Audi❤ keep coming back to you everytime…
I recently bought one. I used a Tacoma as a daily drive for the last 7 years, and I wanted to give her a break. This is a fun car I will admit, but imo it could use a little extra pep. Idk anything about modifying a vehicle for some additional HP, but im told Civics are very easy to tune, and all I would need is an exhaust and a better air flowing air intake system, and maybe a computer to calibrate the adjustments. Suppose that's true (which I have 0 idea if it is), if I change out the exhaust on the civic, its not going to sound like a weed wacker, is it? I dont want to draw attention, just add a little extra power is all
My wife just bought one! We sold our 97 Miata - perhaps the least practical car in the world but also the most fun. Looking forward to being grown ups 🙋♂️🙋♀️
I have a '99 Civic that I bought new. I just bought a 2014 Civic (5 speed manual) and was horrified. My 99 is a thousand times more comfortable (I'm thinking about taking the seats out of the 99 and putting them in the 2014). There is FAR more room inside the 99. The 99 handles better on the highway. And the 99 has almost 300k on it, still running great...After 24 years. I couldn't find a low mileage 99 to buy now in 2023 so I bought the 2014 because it was the highest rated year in the 2010's. Wow these new cars are junk.
I found a 2012 Civic LX 5 speed in good condition. 88k miles with good owners. The biggest service was a clutch replacement in 2020. Biggest cosmetic issue is it may need a new paint job. Had a small fender bender bumper but only cosmetic. Drives and shifts into every gear with no grinds or pops. Clean fully stock everything. They wanted $8300 and got them to go to $7500 due to the paint. One side of the hood line looks a little off compared to the other side. Clean carfax but that only shows what was reported. The current owners dont know if the previous owner had any accidents not reported. Thoughts anyone???
Clean carfax i would go for ir honestly but drive it around, im getting an ex with 90 k miles from a dealership i trust because people on the streets love to scam unfortunately smh
Why does it look like a minivan from front profile? Because it had that ugly af slanted narrow front bonnet, so glad the 10th gen got rid of that shit and actually had some personality again. The 9th gen is hands-down the most blandest undesired model ever.
Need advice anyone please??? I can't decide between a 2012 Scion Tc auto, 120k miles or a 2012 Honda Civic LX w Manual Transmission, 88k miles. I like the idea of a Honda with lower mileage even though it's slow and not sporty look. The Tc is faster as far as hp goes and looks better than the Civic LX but the 2 doors might make car insurance higher. I just want a fun daily, driver car and yes, I considered a Civic Si but they're out of my budget and most are high mileage or heavily modded. Let me know your thoughts??? Thx
