I know an audiobook was made of this entire book. Audible says it is not for sale in my country or region. I tried using my VPN to switch countries. Still couldn't find it. Does anyone know how I can get a copy?

We do get a decision from the Peer Panel, but the reasons why they choose one project over another are not clear and not explained. Sometimes high scores from the Arts Council assessors are contradicted by low scores from the Peer Panel, which gives the impression of a bipolar and confusing process. Could this be reviewed? Clearer feedback from the Peer Panel, beyond numbers that explain nothing, would be appreciated. Thank you.

I’m thinking about it more, this interview is so difficult to follow because one has to get through so much of Colm’s literary-ness , who it is not about. A majority is the artist sitting there while he talks. It’s actually very very Irish art world figure’s de rigeur - in my estimation/ experience , awful warble on. So obvious it’s an arts council production, it’s so up their arses . 12.45 finally Claire’s there - saying she feels she’s more a servant than a squire. Wow. Facinating . Contrast this interviews format to the booker prize interview, where it’s all Claire & silent written questions, far shorter but at least it’s her. If Colm wants to write an essay about her go ahead, but this is wrecking my head.

The makings of a great storyteller is what they leave in your head when youve finally finished reading the story. Probing questions about the characters that don't need answers and unfinished chapters that don't need to be tidily finished... The reader finishes them on their own. I watched an interview with Aingeala Flannery that she gave to some TY students over zoom and her eloquence and patience over their questions was inspiring and heart rendering. The one facet or trait that I did get from her writing is that each individual has their own inner voice and somewhat narcissistic perspective of life. Ultimately this is what the character Helen finally realises in the final paragraphs which in its own way is very true and I suppose quite sad. Anybody that can slip a word like "shutuptafuck" into a sentence and in one sweep bring back a host of memories is a true genius!!

NFTs are the equivalent of digital certificate and when used in this way reflects the artwork it doesn't replace the piece of art. To hate on it is to deny genuine artists from using technology. While misunderstood and often misused the opportunity for using NFTs by artists in Ireland is real and won't go away anytime soon. Perhaps reconsider to be inclusive of our digital NFT artists rather than being fearful and dismissive.

Kudos to Claire Keegan for keeping on in this trainwreck of a monologue. He‘s desperate in putting his points into her, longing for her validation, which she gracefully gifts from time to time. I‘d love to listen to her musing about her craft without someone else trying to make his points.

Keegan's point about 'going in rather than going on', about bad storytellers and bad conversationalists who 'go on and on' (around 7 minutes in), diluting instead of increasing, is completely lost on Toibin, who is falling over himself to get through his checklist of observations and attempts to 'put a few things in your head', as he says himself. Unfortunately, Keegan is consigned/resigned to playing the part of the listener for much of this piece. The trope of the 'good man' is in full play here, but not in the way that Toibin imagines.
