The ship looks nice but the food is awful in the main dining room and the buffet. If your room is on deck 2, you can forget about getting any sleep. The galley is on deck 3, and there is 24/7 banging very loud. Don't bother playing bingo because the winner is predetermined. I guess there too lazy to use a regular ball dispense machine. My first sailing on Carnival and my last. Ship is clogged with people on scooters.
I have been on the Freedom, Magic, Glory three times, the Triumph (now the Sunshine), and Vista.. The Vista is about the same size as the Magic, but was much better developed for the larger number of people.. I have no favorite ship, they all are fine, but we did like the IMAX theater on the Vista, for only $6 you can go watch a movie and relax.. They may have made some changes to the Magic, but it was unable to handle the larger crowds well in my opinion.
Noisy hallways and loud guests have been an issue for me too while on Carnival. Carnival is like Walmart...a lot of different kinds of people go there. Some know how to dress and behave while others seemed to have crawled out from under rocks. Regardless, a cruise is supposed to be enjoyable for everyone. People should be mindful of that.
After almost fifteen cruises out of Baltimore, I can say with no reservation that this cruise port, all things considered, SUCKS!....It has only TWO thing goings for it...(1), easy access from 1-95 and (2), CURRENTLY reasonable parking fees and a big lot. Beyond this, it was designed primarily as a cargo port. No restaurant or hotel related amenities, gas stations, poor and virtually non-existent WARM water fountains, and too many idiots who like to arrive well prior to their assigned check-in times. Sometimes we drive right in, others, it may take up to an hour or more to park. I've written to the MD governor and the MD Port Authority officials. A NEW CRUISE PORT south of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge is desperately needed!!.....
I only used them when we got back to the ship and they did work to cool me down but I would not wear them around. There are the ones we got amzn.to/465o6Ag
What I want to know, is that I’ll be able to upload photos and videos to FB and Instagram and also watch reels and stuff like that? I asume it does but I just want to make sure
I went on the Paradise few months ago, it was okay. Didnt expect much because how small it is. The worse part for me was parents not watching thier kids. There was a kid that ran by Todd(director) hit him hard on the head, laughed and took off with his friends. It was late in the evening. Todd was so mad.
I've never sailed the Paradise but I have been on the Miracle. I love the small ships but where I think they do lack is the variety of food venues and the entertainment spots. If I had never experienced a medium or large ship I wouldn't know what I was missing. Great content!!
Greetings I have a special affinity for the Paradise, i have sailed in her multiple times, she was the first Carnival Cruise Ship I sailed on and I did a sailing with some life long friends of mine to honor their Parents 50th wedding anniversary. I have my another cruise on her scheduled in September, And yes it’s amazing how easy it was to find the bathrooms on her, compared to the Mardi Gras for example, where it was almost like a scavenger hunt for one. As for your cons, I have to admit that in all of my many cruises I rarely ever turn on the television in my room except maybe to see the weather or position of the ship on the map or maybe the shipboard cameras. And while it does take awhile to get out of the port and through the bay and into international waters, I personally love the sail away part as we go through the channel and past the islands, dry docks and airport with my all time favorite part being going under the Skyway bridge, I have been under it both during the summer evenings when it’s still daylight and the fall winter times when the bridge is all lit up. And it always amazes me at how close we come to hitting the bridge. I’m glad that you enjoyed your cruise, she’s a grand old lady and if you go onto her with the open mind and understanding that’s she’s one of the oldest ships in the fleet with regards to layout, you will have a window trip. Take care and happy cruising.
Hi - if you have to preface something with “don’t get this wrong” you probably should just not comment. We are on our own personal health journey and we will worry about our own health. Thanks.
