Watching it now. Great video Martin. Just wanted some wheel cleaning advice having used too many different products in the past. Got some M&K Rim coming. Hopefully it will work wonders on both my cars
Great video Martin as always, my windscreen needs replacing too and I will do the same as you, did you go direct with bmw for your screen or used another provider?
@@Tanda129this time it was auto glass. I made sure before it was fitted that is was the right one as I have heads up and the screen is different. My experience was good
@ObsessiveCarDetailer thanks, I have the same, so want to make sure everything works once installed...appreciate your help on this, keep up the great work....
Used the same products on my daily back mid 2022 that does over 20k a year in all weathers and I got more than 12 months from it. It was still going until the screen took a big hit, cracked & had to replaced about 6 months ago. The side windows are still beading from the original coating & I only had to do the rear where the wipers move not long ago. Probably the only product I’ve used that actually exceeds its durability claims. The weekend toy is treated with GTechniq’s G1Smart Glass but unfair to compare as it has an easy life compared to the daily. Both great products but the Soft 99 duo easily wins on value as you could 3-4 average sized cars with one bottle. The 15ml of Smart Glass is only just enough to do a small coupe. Hope your application lasts as long as Soft 99 advise to keep it dry for a good few hours as it cures. Thanks again for another video Martin. 🙏🏾
Hey Martin-- awesome video. Some of your other videos I noticed the chemical sprayers-- they look like double pump sprayers that spray when you pull the trigger and when you release the trigger.. Are they a "kwazer" sprayer? Just curious
Hi Martin, A few questions on your windscreen itself. Mine needs doing but read some right horror stories about insurance claimed windscreen replacements. My insurer uses National Windscreens and their reviews are really hit and miss. On forums they suggest you purposely keep asking your insurer for OEM glass otherwise they will cheap out and National, Autoglass etc will put in inferior aftermarket glass. What has your experience been with this replacement and was it OEM glass with the BMW logo in the corner?
@@AM4N18 hello mate, so 2 windscreens fitted this year one from NW and one from NA, both were very good experiences. I made sure they understood that I have heads up display to make sure they fitted the right screen
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer Hi mate, good to hear so hopefully I'll be ok with asking NW do to my glass as well then. Was glaco still going strong on that previous windscreen or did you notice some degradation? And, any smearing, hazing with each wiper wipe or wipder judder to report on? Is the glass really crystal clear when using wipers with this stuff?
@@AM4N18 the main reason I use it isn’t because the rain flys off at a certain speed but because the wipers work so well and keep the screen so clean. I have never had shudder with Glaco. As for how long does it last, that all depends on how you use your wipers I guess. Good luck hope it goes well for you
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer Once my ancient halfords rain repellent is used up I'll look into glaco next as that sounds like what I've been looking for. So many of them have such varied user experience. I have just bought the compound bottle however so halfway there.
Allo. The compound is good as is the sealant but stopped using as the wipes started to judder after the sealant lost some of it's bite. This started around 6 months after application. Now I just keep the glass super clean. The sides and back window have gyeon can coat which lasts longer.
First of all Martin I do enjoy the fact your video's reflect the great UK weather - none of this detailing in a workshop malarky for you😂! As for doing interior glass, that's a job a hate with a passion yet when you do it you always think that was worth it - and then you notice the bit(s) you missed😡! I'm going to have put my hand in my pocket and buy this combo, I saw it stocked by my local car parts supplier a while ago (the owner loves detailing so has a treasure trove of products stocked) but baulked at the price however given you strike me as a man who wouldn't overpay I'll give it a go. Cheers for doing the review, Kevin
Snap, check out this old video.I have looked to see if the link is still active but unfortunately it isn't but check around for a bargain, If I remember rightly I paid less than a tenner for it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FNmloWosBnE.htmlsi=5boQAjYEIDQ45IVa
The good old British weather Martin , the detailers nemesis. Still once it's applied , Glaco really is one of the best and easiest glass coatings on the market . It's what i use after seeing it on your channel some time ago funnily enough
Bloody Hell Martin, you’re garden hose pressure is better than some folks pressure washers 😅 I’ve heard some horror stories getting BMW screens replaced, was it a BMW replacement screen or Pilkinton? Next question do you ever have any wiper judder with the Soft 99 protection?
Hello Graeme, yep good pressure but bloody hard water. Never had any issues with wiper judder with Glaco products to the point that its the only product I use on the X3 now days. The last couple of screen replacements went like clock work but I had one a couple years ago that wasn't suited to my heads up display and I had all sort of trouble convincing them that it needed a special screen
Excellent video as always Martin - I do look forward to your always-honest vids! I used to use an equivalent product from Gtechniq, but these Soft99 versions make it so much easier and quicker to apply! I've just reapplied to my windscreen after a little over 12months, but my side and rear windows are still beading beautifully! I find the hard frost and ice is easier to scrape off too! 😁
There is no doubt in my mind that the Soft99 Glaco range are as good as anything on the market. Im a real fan. Its surprising how many people dont bother with the side windows but it can make a real difference with vision on wet and waterlogged roads
Evening martin,i have used both these products and think they are very good,i must say martin I'm enjoying these friday vlogs. Have a good weekend, weather permitting 😊☕️
Bad bit of luck with the windscreen Martin but what a great combo I swear by them, I have run out of them and haven't got round to restocking, I had other products on the shelf. I wanted to put something on my glass on Tuesday past there, I went with Infinity Wax Diamond Vision this is the first time using it so i will compare it to soft99 all the best Martin.
I have never used any Glaco products but that looks a fairly fool proof process. I have always used Angelwax H2GO and am very happy with it and it does the job very well even in Scottish winters.
Did my screen 2 weeks ago, with those products, they really are proper decent. In fairness, I have nothing to compare it too but, i dont feel the need to try another. All the best, Martin.
Its good mate and you would be pleased with it but I have better on my shelf. So for you with so many products already on the shelf, I would give it a miss but for those who are looking for a quality product then well worth a go
You got your love you car valeters your always good for a laugh, because I detail paintwork and that's me sanding the paintwork and painting if needed, you love copying the Americans 25 years ago I was detailing a R34 Nissan skyline applying paint to scratches stone chips, and dry sanding and while I was there the car I was working on a car valeter was valeting his wifes car he came over to me to ask what I was doing, I told him I'm detailing the paintwork, hasn't no one noticed the word car valters disappeared and they all started calling themselves car detailers Lol
3:08 "Why is it whenever I wash the car it starts to rain". Isn't that a fact! Anyway it looks like a good easy product to use. Simple, without any faff is what I like,
I absolutely love this product.. I get it from Prestige car care only problem is they never have the gallons in! Rocking horse poo. Next time i see it in stock i’m gonna buy 2 so i have plenty on my shelf
It is a very nice product but I wouldn't say its better than some others. I think that's a personal opinion. If you are looking to buy a new product then worth a try. I think the glossiest product Ive tried this year is without doubt Mitchell & King Endurance. Hope that's of some help
Looks great Martin , may I recommend maguires new (new to my knowledge) hybrid ceramic liquid wax! Gives a great slick look and it’s also very easy on easy off and they say it can last a few months!
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer the results are amazing for what it is so easy to apply and great water beading compared to other ceramic coatings. It’s not the cheapest but a little really does go a long way! A real game changer for us who want easy detailing with a long lasting finish 👍
Looks very good Martin. I've never tried any Adams products . Although , i have recently purchased Infinity Wax Rapid Detailer (with regards to your last video) and i find that to be a great product
Evening Martin, another for the list, looks good ,I have just purchased a bottle of sonax brilliant shine Detailer, from what I see it beads of very well back to yours it's definitely on the list, have a good week my friend ☕️🍰
That looks like an nice easy product to use with a great result. I have to thank you for the heads up on M&K Endurance which I tried for the 1st time this week and as usual I was blown away. I must say I think it is my favourite product well certainly as a final sealant, The water behaviour and beading is superb. I had to write a glowing review on his website I was that impressed. I will see how long it lasts in case I don't get the chance to do a full decon and re wax before winter comes in. I was impressed by the product that the Forensic detailing channel was reviewing today SiRAMIK Graphene Spray but at £44 for 250ml it really has to be in a different league. I think I will stick with M&K.
For once I used it before you John, its amazing isn't it. The amount of people who bought one on my recommendation and commented on how much they like it. Graphene spray is short for bull shit in my experience John, stick with M&K👍
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I have had it for ages and always used Titan as a base and Seal or Glace as a topper but Endurance is another level. Again thanks. I just got a pop up on my page that he has a Halloween sale at 35% off I might have to reevaluate my stock levels.
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer My liquids valuation is north of £1k and that is just M&K I am also running down my stocks of Gyeon, GT, AutoBrite, Auto Finesse and Autoglym and have odd bottles of other brands GTechniq, Poorboys, Tac Systems infinity wax to name a few. I also have my wax collection. I recently shipped out my i-Pace so down to just three cars and one is in winter storage and one is up North at University so only one to detail so I have to pester my neighbours for guinea pigs to try out products to satisfy my hobby.
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I did a reply but it seems to have fallen off. I might give him a run for his money at the end of a sale week for on the shelf poured stocks but I know his wax stock is way more than mine but I do have one or two that he no longer stocks.
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I bought a sample box years back from Jeff at prestige car care and it got me hooked on Adam’s products and basically never I used anything else since lol. Appreciate the reply keep the vlogs coming 👍🏻
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer cheers. It was good thanks. Finished top 30 in the stage race in Canada and inching closer to world champs qualifying times for the ‘reasonably old git’ age group 😉😀 That’s the goal.. represent GB at the worlds. Getting there 👌
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer cheers. Not there yet but progressing 😀 Now back to this RU-vid lark for winter. Glad you’re well and look forward to catching up more. Cheers
Nice informative video Martin 👍 just ordered myself 5 litres of the version 3 iron oxide garage therapy 👌👍 just a thought would you use your snow foam lance to apply your shampoo i do much easier i just rinse the wash pad after every panel just 1 rinse bucket 🤔 keep up the good work Martin 👍👌🙋♂️🙋♂️
The I have used that method before in fact I,m now scratching my head to think if I have a video on it. You do need a quality shampoo that will dwell. what shampoo do you favour?
Great Job Martin. This Product is one of the the Quickest, non-fuss, non-flaff detailers out there. It goes on, flashes and comes straight off with Zero hassle and great 'Sparkle' as you put it... There's really not much to dislike... Great upload.!
