@@thecadillacdanshow8658 I just changed them out last weekend .. that’s the weird part. Used two vice grips to tighten that thing down also. So I’m take a look at it tm try tackle the problem.. love your videos I have a 4 door broughm 87…
@ArmaniMorales-z9x if your cylinders are new also check the fitting to make sure it's not leaking and running down the cylinder making it look like it's leaking on the bottom
Good video bro. I can't wait to be lifted. I gave you a shout out in my exhaust video. I don't comment on my channel because when people would talk mess about my brother I'd get into it with them. Lol
@@thecadillacdanshow8658 Oh awesome I have been locked out of my Facebook since 2015. I can get either my mom or see if my wife can get back into her's. Is your Facebook Cadillac Dan?

Just some led strips I found on Amazon they are 12v I wired them to the first battery for the hydraulics and added a switch on the power wite to turn them on and off
Brent knows all about heat transfer on these rear ends. back in the day in 2009 had him reinforce and narrow a rear end for me for my 81 coupe deville build and the heat from welding plus the weight of the downforce of it sitting on the jack stands while welding did the exact same thing as yours did. (81 coupe deville build) what sucked about my situation was i done sent it off for chrome plating after it got narrowed and reinforced. i invested about $2600 in a rear end i couldn't even use. after i got it back from chrome the driver side axle wouldn't even slide back into the spider, the tube on the driver side was tweaked bad from heat of welding. Brent made things right . he was just as shocked as i was..if i only knew what i know now i would've checked before chrome. i had no clue that could even happen. wish i just went with a narrowed ford 9 inch from him. Brent is the fuckn man tho! He is legend and knows his shit inside n out 💯
This might be a dumb question cuz I watched the video with closed captioning on cuz I’m at work and can’t really hear the video but did you use a switch for the halos or are they apart of the parking lights?
@hitnaswitch93 correct it would have probably been fine running them off the factory harness but I just wanted to be sure it wouldn't draw to much through the stock harness
My hats off to u and your knowledge front to rear on your cars. In 1979 I cut my 1st car front and back for $300 angin in 97 for $600. I have a 63 convertible now and i have 3 square dumps and i need a 4th i was quoted $1500 back in may but a week ago i was told $2200 for 1 dump! This will be my last build im 61 now and costing more than my 1st house hahaha... Keep riding 😅
In this day and time what do you do for alignments? In the 80''s I would put the stock tires on to get a alignment and have the 5:20s balanced separately.
When I was in Florida I had a shop that did alignments the old school way but I thing in this day and age doing what you suggested would be the best alot of people don't even want to try to do a alignment just because the camber even though I tell them don't even mess with that. I have ended up making small adjustments to my toe and got it pretty good I have been rocking the same set of wheels for a while now and seems like three wheeling is getting them more then any thing which I can live with that
@@thecadillacdanshow8658 I remember people would get tow-ins on older Impalas but never really new what it partained to or how it was performed.. thanks
So is a bridge put in to make the car lay? I asked this question in LA to 2 people who's option I did value and 1of them went of the deep end because it was concerning a old Ford T-bird. And I was cursed at disrespected and told he doesn't drive fords. But never the lessit was a lowrider question and as U know all lowriders don't drive Impalas so please could you tell me is it to lay the car when bridged in the rear on a older ford please don't be a DH like gangster in Compton hahaha
You can get a volt meter and put one lead on the ground terminal on the first battery and the other lead to the positive terminal on the last battery and it should tell you how much voltage you have they sell chargers that are 72v 60v 48v and 36v and maybe 24v
I do not but there is one on RU-vid that explains it you need to add resistors in-between the two orange wires that go up the steering colum there is a plug right at the bottom of the colum
No the bushings in the ears and the ones in the arms are different they are getting hard to find I seen some on rockauto that came with each bushing one arm and one ear
There is just one motor that bolts to the body the part on the trunk itself is just a switch. There are 2 switches one on top (trunk lid) and one on bottom (the body) they tell the motor when to turn on and off if your trunk is open the top switch tells the motor to turn on and the bottom switch tells it when to turn off
Thanks I have a 94 Fleetwood great shape I have to change both front door clips where can I get the straps to put on the doors I am having a hard time finding parts for these beautiful cars.
It is possible you would have to add extra dumps to control the flow of fluid but from what I have heard it just puts a lot if stress on the extra dumps and the prematurely fail
Yea Bill was super knowledgeable about this stuff he helped me hook my street charger up on my Caddy! Walked me thru the whole process over the phone!!! LONG LIVE BILL🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
He is definitely missed I had a crazy wiring idea the other day and though to my self it would be nice to call him and ask if it would even work he always thought outside of the box and would get really excited about coming up with new ways to wire things up
