very nice but trail could be marked a little better-always nicer getting lost with someone and not by yourself -I do a lot of day hiking in the Pacific Northwest around Portland-The columbia gorge and Mt. hood national forest.-always love it when a sign is pointing between two trails lol
Wow thanks for sharing your beautiful hikes. I would love to do that too. Do you always hike alone? Have you ever run into bears or cougars? You inspire me to do more hiking this year 😊 Thank you!
You should definitely get out and do a hike! They are definitely good for the soul. I've come across a grizzly once and thankfully, I was in a big group, and he got scared and ran off. We had a bear in our campsite one night but didn't realize it until the next day and he didnt bother us or get our food.. I've never had any encounter with cougars and hope I never do!
Such a pleasure watching all 9 days, thanks for uploading such great footage. You both are amazing - well done!!!! Love the added bonus of seeing your yummy treat at the end, well earned 😋
So nicely filmed. What a majestically beautiful place - wow! We did Sunshine Meadows in Banff area a few years ago the first week of August when the meadow flowers were in full bloom. The views took my breath away and made me weep. This looks equally stunning.
Hi Barb, this is just the video I was hoping for, what a great job you did of hiking and filming. I LOVE it when people leave off the music allowing us viewers to enjoy all the natural sounds, so thank you so much for that. We go to Tofino/Ucluelet once every few years and walk the beaches and rainforest all day, everyday. We would have loved to have done the WCT but we're getting older, sore and I have a bum ankle, so it won't be happening. It's so wonderful to view it through your experience, thanks for posting this. All the best to you!
Barb congratulations to you and your sister!!! Thank you for making such a beautiful video of the surroundings, and showing all the various walking terrains, explaining the walking distances, the challenges, the rewards, and a lot of valuable information to know when walking the trip. It was a delight to take a virtual trip with you. I’ve always wanted to see the West Coast Trail, and it was good to feel like I’ve experienced a little of it, so thank you 🙏. Take care and good travelling on your next adventures✌
Thanks so much and I'm glad I could give you a but more of a visual of what the trail is like and what to expect. I know each year and depending in time if year, the trail is different but it gives a general idea of what it's like. My upcoming adventure is the Pacific Crest Trail starting this spring so if you're interested in seeing any of that trail I should probably be posting my daily vlogs on here so you can subscribe if you want to be notified at all. Hoping that one day you will make it to the West Coast to hike. You won't regret it 😁
Huge respect for you two. This is a big hike deep in the wilderness. Not many would do it. Cheers. Happy I found you. I may go back this August. Need to check out all the lakes.
Great job ladies!! You could knock out some of those gold passport peaks! If you can navigate you'll be fine! No marked trails and no trails at all in some places! Happy trails!!
I watched Debra's series, and I felt it was only fair to watch yours too!🙂 I have a 10 day route picked for that area next summer but I plan to hook back into Wilmore after the Ancient wall and hit glacier and desolation pass then back to Grande Cache! Just hope my work schedule allows me the time!
I hope you get to hike your route next year. You will absolutely love it! Trying to decide where to hike next year is hard. So many places to see and nit enough time!
Hey Barb, A great pair of videos. Nice work! I hiked those same trails a few years back and marveled at the artful work of the Alpine Club of Canada, who laid all those perfectly placed stepping stones. I like your style and hope we cross paths one day. Happy trails. AD
It's definitely a magical place and would love to go back! It would be awesome to meet paths on Trail one day. It's definitely the best place to meet people 😁
@@hikingwithbarb9006 yes winter is gonna be long but do trail in your area thats what I do in winter 10km in McMurray I can't drive 8 hours to mountains in winter but still try do something 😊😊
Ugh it was such a great trip!!!! You did so good in capturing all the feelings and wrapping up our experience… said all the things I couldn’t find words for. Just watching, it brought back all the emotions and just seeing how incredibly proud we were!! Wow! Once again girl, it was an honour sharing this epic adventure with you!! 💙💙
@@hikingwithbarb9006 the items are compass, couple of hair elastics, earplugs, nail clipper. and the hair brush.. I'm not sure what's happening to my messages to you but this is the last time I try. I do want to give this back to you... I carried it a long way.
@@christianlroy it was weird cause I though you had responded because I had a notification but then when I went to read it, the message was gone. I would love to get the bag back. Where are you located? I'm heading to Rockwall mid week so maybe I can somehow get it back or send you money to send back to me?
@@christianlroy I think you responded again because I saw a notification on my phone this morning but when I went to read it, it's deleted. Strangest thing. Can you maybe send me an email? barbdubord@gmail.com
Nice video, my friend! Lovely hiking trip! The nature is amazing, too...What area is that? Enjoyed watching. Cheers from Russia, Barb , and how about visiting my channel as well? I've got something to share about bushcraft! Anyway, best wishes in all your plans! Best regards, Yuriy!
This was on Vancouver Island In British Columbia in Canada. It's the most western part of Canada. It's so beautiful there! I will definitely check out your channel as well!
Usually you can take the cable car across but it was broken and since I went in June and they had gotten a bunch of rain riggt before I went, the river was higher and faster than what it normally is. I heard it's pretty mild now. Was a scary moment that's for sure!
