DIY repairs on foreign cars. Why spend so much money at a shop when you can fix it yourself! If you have the right tools and right resources, anything is possible! This is a hobby I enjoy doing during my downtime. Check out my new upcoming projects and let's wrench away!
I have a 2013 Mercedes Benz c300 drove around with no sound for almost 3 years! It stopped working all of a sudden the screen turned on everything you can see the radio stations AM/FM satellite, but you couldn’t hear anything. You can pair it to a Bluetooth. I could call out, but I couldn’t hear anybody on the other side. They could hear me and it was frustrating not knowing what was going on so When it happened I took it to the dealership and they told me that the amp was out basically, the exact same thing that you posted on your video happened to my vehicle THANK YOU for sharing this video it fixed my issue. I bought the fiber optic loop and went ahead and bypassed it BAM 💥 SOUND was restored. Dealer ship wanted to scam me telling me that the amp was out bs ! You keep doing what you do you are awesome 👏
Hi, we ha a 2015 B 250E elecrtic drive mercedes car. We have an issue with head unit. We can not start manually either automatically. The fuse is ok - 12woltage is fine 2times. Do you have any idea what is the problem and how to fix it? Or shall we buy spare part if so where can we buy?
@@Amjad-1981 no the plugs I use will not fit your 1.6! You have the turbo engine and I have the natural aspirated engine. The plugs are slightly different and also the gap on your engine is .35 where the 1.8 engine is .44 gap. This plug will fit your 1.6 NGK ( DILKAR7E9HS) #95003
This makes me feel better about the relative ease of the Q5! I still have a five cylinder, 2009 rabbit to do....some day. I've owned the parts since October.
@@genuineimpulse9134 yeah this cramp V8 was no joke the driver side fought me the most! Not to mention all the brittle connector and lines that need to be moved 😩!
OMG what a night mare. I don't have that code and am intimidated by just changing the plugs and coils. My wife is ready to trash this car and start over. 2010 Audi, Q5 3.2 V-6, not turbo, with only 135K miles. I'm hoping it will drive better with new plugs and coils but geeze. I've got much larger hands, and there's no way I'd be able to get that sensor in below.
@@genuineimpulse9134 I just did a 3.2 v6 not so long ago. It’s not that bad the coolant reservoir you will have to unbolt and just move it to the side . But it made a difference for sure he had 156k and had not changed any plugs since 2017. That puppy was idling smooth engine was super healthy as well! But going back to this 3.0T yeah! It was a tight spot specially if anyone has lumberjack forearms lol.
@@Fwerks.1592 I got it done and only a little blood, lots of sweat, no tears,. We bought the car in 2017 with 77K, who knows when they were done last but from my untrained eye they looked worn out, all as low as your #6. The PITA middle on right side wasn't tightly in place and covered with oil. New plugs and coils and I couldn't believe how much better it sounded! Almost sports car like roar. Thanks for your videos it was a huge help seeing how to do it without taking off the shroud. I hope I'm done for a while but...with three cars, the newest 2010, you know how that goes.
@@genuineimpulse9134 that’s awesome!!! That puppy should be good for another 60k before another things pops up! I’ll try to upload more videos on this Q5 for maintenance. Not to mention how much money you saved paying a shop! Yeah man if it’s not one car it’s the other and the list goes on! Life’s short lol let’s enjoy the moments!
Hey men I got a c250 2013 and I have issues with the car the seats doesn’t move the screen is black the sunroof doesn’t open the inside lights don’t work is there anyway you can help me out it will be great thanks
@@Abdul12219 have you checked all the fuses? You need a good scanner to check the front and rear Sam modules. It’s hard to say what’s the main issue. Sounds like you have a bad module and it’s causing all these items. I would suggest getting the car scanned. That’s where I would start.
@@Abdul12219 the front fuse box is one of the Sams, the second one is located under the passenger side front seat. It’s under the carpeting I believe so. The third rear Sam box is located in the trunk . I would inspect every single fuse, the box it’s self and check for any corrosion or wiring issues.
I just happened to be trying to pump fuel from a 2013 Equinox that has a pretty full tank because this car is just sitting for now. Disconnected the supply line before the schrader valve and connected some hose going into a container. I jumped the run crank relay but fuel pump will not stay on. Seems like a prime cycle or something. Is there an easy way to make the fuel pump run continuously? I mean, aside from crawling underneath and jumping 12v to the pump connector.
@@Fwerks.1592 just want to pump the fuel out in order to transfer it to a vehicle that is being used. I planned on putting the car on ramps and seeing if I can get at the pump connections. If I can then I'll just jump 12v to the pump and I'll be able to get this done. But if there's an easier way, let me know.
If u want to see a difference in the sound work on the exhaust set up, i have these intakes and their downpipes im happy with both. Spending $1400 was worth it for me given the fact it looks hella sick second its compatible with a tune. If ur car is stock and u just puting it on for a sound money not spent on the right areas
I'm having issues with my Mercedes cls550, the ABS module is throwing codes saying ’no CAN message was received from control unit engine control module' and ’CAN signal 'minimum engine torque' from control unit engine control module is implausible. *Help pls*
So I know this is a while after the video is posted but would this be the potential issue if my cars engine stops while driving but allows it to keep rolling
I bought the finer optic loop. Looks like Matt the tuner is currently making new updates to the 4.0T. New updates will include more power, drivability tweaks & tcu tweaks! Once the new update is out, I'll be doing a second dyno pull at a dynojet facility!
My audio works for the Sirus XM radio but not regular satellite radio. I’ve checked fuses, located and checked everything shown in this video and it still won’t come on.. any ideas on what else I should check for? The antenna works fine, that is how the Sirus XM can play. Just curious on why maybe my regular radio stations won’t put out sound. For reference I own a 2009 Mercedes c300
not sure if its the same as Chevy Traverse Lt AWD 3.6 i replaced my right front passenger side i use a breaker bar to tighten up the nut i don't have one of those special tools been trying to get my lights on my dashboard off traction control and stability lights are on i replaced both wheel speed sensors no luck at all any help would be appreciated ty
Excellent video, very helpful to start my troubleshooting. I have the same issue, no audio from FM, AM, BT etc. in my 2013 C300. Does the looper work around fix the audio for BT as well or would I need a new interface module in order to get BT back and functioning?
That definitely has nothing to do with a shifter module. Your problem is most likely coming from the transmission can be a valve body or a bad conductor plate! Good Luck!
So the fuel pump for these equinox’s is on the motor? It’s not in the gas tank like a lot of cars? Or is there also another pump assembly in the tank? Forgive me if these are stupid questions I’m just trying to learn so I can help my friend change hers out
So the high pressure fuel pump is on the block. The traditional pump your talking about it the sending unit. That’s always located inside the fuel tank. All vehicles have a fuel pump inside the tank and they also have a high pressure fuel pump located somewhere on the motor. No worries you’re all good bro!
Hello! First thank you for the helpful video! Second, I have 2012 c250 with H/K sound system. I have this exact issue except my issue happened after having to replace the passenger side CAN bus distributor board because water got into the car from the sunroof drains being clogged. I replaced the board and the car starts and everything is back to normal but the audio. I checked all the fuses. I did see water dripping from the glove box at one point. Do you think it’s the same issue ? Also where can I get that jumper wire from ? Didn’t see the link in the description
It be be an issue with the module. Here is the link to the bypass/ jumper cable! Hope this works! www.amazon.com/Universal-Optical-Adapter-Mercedes-Porsche/dp/B07PDJPXCW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=mercedes+fiber+optic+bypass&qid=1677636183&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzSUlDODdQSkFDMzAzJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODQyNTM2QU8yVlhEMURCOVlOJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAzMzU4MDUySkpPNVZLVFFHTllYJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU%3D
@@moeobaidat4101 good stuff!!! Now if you really want that fixed. You would need to order a new most communication module and that will have to be coded to work with the vehicle that’s the only way it will work.
Thank you so much for this video. I would have thrown the whole car away after that but your video saved the day. I had all dash light, no crank, headlights stayed on, when it did crank, no transmission, no a/c no signal light, all dash lights on. I Cleaned off the Can Bus ground Block connector with wd40 and plug them all back up and bingo its was like new for $0 and a can of wd40. Thanks again for this video. it saved my benz!!! P.S. I removed all the rubber drain-plugs at the bottom of the floorboard too and left them out for future draining.
I did the valve cover gaskets and oil breather gaskets myself without any car repairing experience. Pretty straightforward, BUT you still have to be careful. Don't skip steps. If you're not sure that the gasket is sitting correctly, better check twice.
Hi I have a 05 C240 showing a P0705 (transmission range sensor) except I cannot for the life of me find this part anywhere. Not Mercedes not fcp euro nowhere I don’t know what to do. My mechanic is on vacation and the forums are useless
Big thank to you, I watched your video and saved 800 dollars, mechanic told me to replace the gear , believe me I just got same code and changed the shifter and its perfect NOW 🎉🎉🎉
