The destruction you saw on RT 58 is completion of a project to expand it to 4 lanes, destroying current hydrological patterns, property, wells and removing many, many homes. Never been a big fan of group rides...it all depends on who you are riding with. I'd like to think I am a good rider but I have not interest in being a daredevil or risking my license. I have been on group rides where some riders scare me with their lack of ability and others where my license would've been in jeopardy had we met an officer. Then there are those with the guy that has to stop every 80 miles for gas which turns into play the lottery and drink coffee for an hour. I just enjoy riding. I am good up to about 10 over the speed limit. Just because I can handle the bike at a higher speed doesn't mean I want to...nor do I enjoy lagging along below the posted speed. I thought about the CMA once but what you had to do to join was too time consuming for me (I've been to seminary, I'm not looking for that level of commitment just to ride). I have enjoyed a few Patriot Guard Missions but I wasn't in the armed services so that is a rarity for me. Just my .02, since you asked. You did get me involved with the IRG out of Garcia in Raleigh, NC and I've been on a couple that were satisfying for me. I think you and I ought to cross off a few more parts of the Dragon sometime...
You should compare the 24 streetglide to an indian challenger. Far better bike compared to anything else Indian has and the motor still outperforms the new refreshed 24 harleys.
Im 5'8" and the 10 in is perfect for my 2024 Street Glide. I can still see over the top no problem. I also went with off brand with same thickness and durability as stock and even Klockwerks from EBay and got it brand new for $65. There are other options instead of paying almost $300 in my opinion.

Believers will be "caught up" to meet the Lord in the air. The Bible does not say where the believers go after they have met the Lord in the air. If you compare Paul's words with Jesus's words they are both describing the second coming of Christ. If that is the cast, those who meet the Lord in the air, are going to the Mount of Olives for the final judgement.
It is a great time to ride...love the rivalry that yields better bikes for all of us. I can say after test riding both brands, the Indian has been the much better performer until very recently. Both brands are pretty equally matched now. The difference is how they put their power down. I own a Pursuit and it is far more rev happy than the Harley Road or Street Glide, likely due to the higher horsepower and the need to turn more RPM to get it. Again, this is just my seat of the pants opinion from being on both bikes and ultimately choosing the Pursuit as my personal best option. LOVE the conversation...keep it going!
I looked at a Indian Chieftain Darkhorse yesterday... 116CI @ 126 Ft./lb. torque... The 111 was in the Chief models, I'm sure much closer if nor surpassing Harleys SG Performance. What ever you ride, keep smiling and keep the rubber side down!
Hello from Tazewell, VA. I really enjoyed your video. I live near the end of the BOTD at Frog Level. We have some of the best riding in this area that can be had anywhere in the world.....IMHO. Some days we have ridden The Dragon Slayer, The Snake, The Python and the BOTD all in the same day! Have to say that Indian is very impressive. We usually try to get together at least one weekend and sometimes twice through the summer months. Please keep making the videos......my wife and I really enjoyed this one. She especially liked the weeeee on the twisties🤣
Since 2020 I have rode adventure bikes. I have a 2024 BMW R1250 GS Adventure and about a month ago I picked up a 2024 Road Glide. I love both bikes but each one serves a different purpose. I would say go for a second bike but it doesn't hurt to look for a different style and it would add to your content and maybe introduce new subscribers to you.
Very interesting video and a rather frustrating problem for sure. I have two bikes sharing a two car garage with my wife’s car. Both bikes are large but manageable if you park one behind the other. It took a long time for me to realize don’t get rid of the bikes you have but add to your collection. I have a Harley ultra limited that I don’t ride much but I’ve learned to hold on to it. Indian motorcycles have never appealed to me for some reason but that’s just me.
Bought a Challenger Darkhorse back in April 2023, then in October bought a Harley RG Fast Johnnie ST 2023…. Both are great bikes, and both are very different machines. The Indian is bigger and more plush than the RG, the Harley feels more sporty and smaller with what feels to be more torque.
The way the Thunderstroke delivers power through the RPM's and the ergonomics of the bike along with that Fox monoshock suspension, it just is my preferred bike to ride today. The back and forth competition with Indian and Harley just means better bikes for us all at the end of the day. And, that's a good thing.
I agree, the competition is good for us as customers. I do miss the superior suspension on the Indian, But I do not miss the heat that came off my Roadmaster motor. I also miss the electric windshield.
My name is Reinaldo and I live in the city of São Paulo in Brazil, I recently bought a white Street Glide and rode 500 kilometers, I loved it a lot, but after buying it I rode the Road Glide which I was amazed at, but I'm going to change the low handlebars for a of 12 inches, which will improve handling, comfort by more than 100% and replace the windshield with a 7-inch one, then it should look really cool and doesn't disappoint the Road Glide. What do you think?
Very nice review. Good to see your impressions after a back to back ride. I like the looks of the SG but it seems that most people are finding the RG the better handling bike.

What if the infotainment system goes down after the warranty expires? How much would that cost? I'm thinking it would probably be a substantial amount. I'm a bit nervous about buying the 2024 for that reason. Other than that, I love the new bikes!
Hi Marty, this is Jan-Arndt from South Raleigh (old stage road is where my home base is). Congrats on the new bike. I agree, HD definitely developed their flagship in the right direction. I ride a 2020 FLHTP that I purchased from Bruce Rossmeyer back in 2022 at Biketoberfest (dealership is called Teddy Morse since 2023). Love my ride. The 114 is a very good engine, plenty of power and very smooth to ride. I upgraded the suspension (progressive fst in the front and revo a in the back) which makes such a tremendous difference. Also recently I installed a Saddlemen Dominator solo seat with a backrest. Very comfortable seat even for long hauls. The bike has Stage 1 and a few extras but I have not finished upgrading it (are you ever done with upgrading?😅). My previous bike was a TC 08 Road King. One day I'll have a Road King, again maybe as a second bike 😀. Of the comfort triangle, what would you change on your Street Glide? How tall are you and how much do you weigh if I may ask? @@martyboddie9953 I ride an Indian, but if I were to get a new Harley, it would have to be traditional, black and orange. I had a black Superglide that was originally purple in 1984, and before that my 79 XLS sportster was, get this; candy-apple translucent tangerine orange, shot over a base of Cadillac gold.
My Chieftain can get hot too. I have noticed its been much better since I gutted the CAT tho. And it mostly only bothers me if I have my leather lowers on the crash bars. You were on a Roadmaster.. so the lowers kinda traps that heat. If you were to remove the lowers.. the heat is not nearly as bad. Also, theres rumor that the Challenger/Pursuit might get a bump up from the 107 to a 112CI in the near future.
