hey, alerts are received from all the products and make the admin aware that something happened (e.g. CO2, vape alerts, device down) and they need to probably take action... the alarm part is a workflow that allows you to set up triggers (based on the alerts), then initiate automatic actions (such as people being notified, the agent speaking throught the BZ11 speaker, a siren going off)
Hey Jose, many small things can cause this, either on the device end (app not allowed to use Bluetooth), on the reader (Bluetooth turned on for the site but not for the door, the proximity distance not great enough), or on the user configuration (user not allowed to use Bluetooth or Access Level not permitting the user to go through the door)... if these don't work, I suggest opening a live chat window from Command, and our support team will help

Hey Meagan, there is a new function called Credential Upload, that allows you to upload multiple cards for the same user (this was not possible with the initial User Import)... more info here: help.verkada.com/en/articles/8859155-import-and-export-credentials-with-csv-files ... and if you need more help, just open a live chat with our support team from Command, they can help out!

Dimitrie, can you do a video on how to implement VMWare SDWAN within Azure by creating virtual edges connecting to an Azure WAN hub and/or configuring Azure Route Server? Can I simply configure virtual edges without needing Azure Route Server or is it a combination of both for set-up?

hey @daz3169, it is an indication that the firewall is blocking the camera when it is trying to reach some of the verkada endpoints... please make sure to allow all the domains listed under Firewall rules in this doc: help.verkada.com/en/articles/4132169-required-network-settings Hope it helps!

hey @richardmillee7116 you need to create an alert, then subscribe yourself to receive it over email and/or sms... soon all the alert configurations will move to the Alert Inbox (for products outside cameras), so you will have a much more simplified flow to set them up
By default all is stored on the camera, the cloud receives thumbnails once every 20 seconds or so, in order to keep the Command platform looking relevant. Videos can be offloaded by archiving them (manual), or doing a cloud backup (automatic). Thanks for the explanation. Is the local storage really just a standard SD card sealed inside the camera? Could someone open the camera and upgrade the local storage?
It is an SD card indeed, however due to the contents being automatically encrypted at the production stage the storage is not field replaceable (as of today). Most cameras come with 10y warranty so, at failure, would get replaced as a whole, free of charge.
I mean there is the IP rating to consider when it's raining :D joking aside, it's similar in size with most of the competitors in the space. Also, it does have a full blown camera and can be a single door controller! Will do a follow-up video on the last point.
nice but when the edge is powered up and 'grabs the config from the orchestrator', how is that done when there is no wan IP address on the edge unless it is dhcp on the wan with a preconfigured dhcp address?
you still need a data circuit(s), you still need to assign bandwidth on those circuits so the wan is still the bottleneck. It will always be he bottleneck unless you install fiber at your location(s). that's expensive.
Can we make a public internet circuit as a user-defined overlay ?? If you configure a wan overlay settings as user-defined how it identifies the gateway??
