Mick, You really are a great interviewer. As a Special Effects Makeup Artist who started around 1985, Interviews like these inspired and encouraged me as did the pages of Famous Monsters, Fangoria, Cinefex and other mags. Thanks for all of the years of excellent and passionate work.
Salems lot is one of the greatest Vampire films ever, with 40 days of Night, the universal & hammer Dracula films, it terrified me as a kid great movie .

Great 4-part interview. Hopefully one day a complete uncut print of "Track Of The Moon Beast" will be discovered so we can finally have the movie presented in a fully restored version on DVD/Blu-ray. All current versions out there on VHS & DVD are taken from dark murky prints that were edited for TV & therefore are missing a good chunk of Rick Baker's make up & gore effects. The movie may not be great, but it deserves better than what it's received so far.

Love Trading Places and Werewolf in London, one of the 2 best movies ever made. He can be a great director but him and him and his son seems like horrible people.

If you've read Marshall McLuhan's book THE MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE, he talks about how it's not the CONTENT of the medium that we should study, but rather it is the medium itself causing us to respond to stimuli coming through the medium....and this causes us to be involved with the medium. It changes us. Creates an environment. Creates an effect. We monkey what we see coming through the medium... This is a strange example, but think of pornography on the TV/video/satellite, and how it causes us to "take action" along with it. The subconscious registers what it sees as reality, and adjusts itself to the stimuli. I guess it really is LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH....
