Late reply sorry ... "Spring steel" that would be used to make truck springs. We purchased it in it's raw form and water cut out the shape.

Thanks Ben. Bought plans 4 weeks ago & am on the group. Have a tablesaw & borrowed a thicknesser to try on a piece of Hoop pine, I managed to obtain in Sydney. (milled down to 1/4"x 1/4"). Happy with the result, so will do the same as you. Thanks for your video - very useful. Looking forward to seeing #2. Bill

Hi Bill?? I'm using "Queensland Hoop Pine" sourced out of QLD many years ago, I purchased 1ftx1Ftx 3meter lengths all made up of various sizes in a block purchase, my source no longer sells the wood but there are many supplies around Oz. No kit here mate all scratch built, if you have a table saw and a thickneser your ready to go :) I'd recomend subscribing to the Corby_Starlet group on yahoogroups com and talk to builders all over the world, many from Oz on the list.

thank you very much for awnsering this question i had wandering in my head for a year. this is extreemly handy for high watt (amps) 12volt equipment like large dc moters and the peltier fridge i build (use yellows from different lines to split the amps (i love it when the lessons in collage pays off)). also the 5 volt is really handy for usb charging and also as stated below for a pic or plc micro controllers(concerned about the speed it powers up tho, for stuff like pwm) greetingz from Holland!

@vk2uvp , Correct Grove do make a set of legs for the starlet, not as per the plans, very nice to look at, a bit stiffer than the original, and heavier, ...... your wallet will implode also with the price :)
@vk2uvp
@vk2uvp 13 лет назад
@conditionl @conditionl Grove make them for the Starlet. My intention is to use them when my Starlet gets to that stage. Google Grove Aircraft Landing Systems

mine doesn't have a green wire and way too many black wires
@CorbyStarletCj1
@CorbyStarletCj1 13 лет назад
@conditionl As far as i know no one makes them for the starlet, you would have to take the plans to a machine shop and get them machined for you.
@erlendse

Or even better if you use a 5V micro-controller.. power it from the pink one (5V standby, always on) and control the green one with a IO pin to start the rest.
