Thanks Ben. Bought plans 4 weeks ago & am on the group. Have a tablesaw & borrowed a thicknesser to try on a piece of Hoop pine, I managed to obtain in Sydney. (milled down to 1/4"x 1/4"). Happy with the result, so will do the same as you. Thanks for your video - very useful. Looking forward to seeing #2. Bill
@vk2uvp , Correct Grove do make a set of legs for the starlet, not as per the plans, very nice to look at, a bit stiffer than the original, and heavier, ...... your wallet will implode also with the price :)
hello, nice job, I am building my plane, I'm curious about what kind of metal did you use to made the landing gear....thanks i'm thinking to make it the same geometry of your but in avional 2017....what do you think?
Hi Bill?? I'm using "Queensland Hoop Pine" sourced out of QLD many years ago, I purchased 1ftx1Ftx 3meter lengths all made up of various sizes in a block purchase, my source no longer sells the wood but there are many supplies around Oz. No kit here mate all scratch built, if you have a table saw and a thickneser your ready to go :) I'd recomend subscribing to the Corby_Starlet group on yahoogroups com and talk to builders all over the world, many from Oz on the list.
@conditionl @conditionl Grove make them for the Starlet. My intention is to use them when my Starlet gets to that stage. Google Grove Aircraft Landing Systems
