Just re-watched the series this last fortnight, agree with most of your points. I do think they let Herr Star live to just show what a cockroach he was and how he could survive virtually anything. And as far as for Dominic Cooper and Ruth Negas on screen chemistry… I could be wrong, but I seem to remember when it was actually, live on TV, it was towards the end of their relationship, and that may have been hard to continually display affection if they were on the outs in real life. * Crap, I didn’t wait till the end of the video to comment. 😂🤷🏻♂️

I started sort of doing this when the Michael Bay Transformers came out and normies were talking more about Shia LeBeaouf and Megan Fox instead of the robots being the main focus. Transformers were always known for their unique personalities. It pisses me off as a guy who has been in that fandom since I was four years old when Transformers G2 came out on 1993.

No, Jesse and Petunia in this series sucked as a couple. I hated how Tulip just decided to have sex with rando (which "happened to be Cassidy") early in the series just because she was upset with Jesse, instead of a build-up of any sort. In the comics, it took quite a lot (without spoilers here) before that did happen, yet it was under ENTIRELY DIFFERENT circumstances! Too much to go into. I liked a few things about the series, yet what didn't land was far more than any portion I could like as an adaptation from a very well-done comic! Ultimately, I think that Seth Rogan and others involved---unsure how much Sam Catlin had on the series, creatively---read the comic, saw some bizarre situations and kewl characters and just made something from the bizarre, not really understanding the actual comic story for what it was. It's like when Lynch wasn't involved with Twin Peaks Season 2, and those who took over, was like, "Lynch does weird stuff, so we need to make this weird, too, yet mainstream". LoL Not understanding that Lynch doesn't do "weird" for weird-sake. I didn't like the filler in the Preacher series that was added to make it longer than it needed to be. There was some concepts not in the comic that I did like, though overall, this was a big "NOPE' as an adaptation---ESPECIALLY the ending with god. It was too sophomoric. They even reduced the Saint of Killers to comedic fodder at one point, though I know that was not the intention. Oh, I could go on, and prolly will in a video on my and my fiance's channel...though, ultimately, I didn't like this adaptation. Kewl moments and things to like about it? Yes. Am I one of those who just complains about anything made in the last 5 years? No. I am aware of the changes made to the Sandman, for example, and am okay with it. I like it. I injoy it. Can I point out things about in reference to the comics? Yes. Do I feel it is a better adaptation to Preacher? YES! OH Hell YES! Preacher changed many things, including the characters and "rules" of that universe and character dynamics to a point that it was verging on Dukes of Hazzard proportions (from series to movie), whereas I feel Sandman keeps close to the source material, while still allowing for some changes in updating for modern times, here-and-there.
I’ve seen gatekeeping not just in the pop culture community, but in the automotive community as well. I started getting into cars around ten years ago, and by high school, there were other kids (who owned cars at 16) that would bully me because I was genuinely interested in learning about cars and they didn’t want to see me pursue a career as a technician. I’m an apprentice at a local auto shop now. I still hear (older) people rant about how “real cars” are rear-wheel-drive only and are somehow safer because they’re almost entirely steel (cars are STILL mostly made of steel today). It’s pretty cringeworthy

I don’t know I think it’s kind of smart to try to bring this to the attention of the kids directly. With all the wack jobs out there doing things as stupid as making their kids drink bleach, I kind of think this action is almost necessary in today’s pants on head insane society of Facebook conspiracy gurus.

Die-hard fan of the comic, just wanted to say, as someone who appreciates the comic for its (by FAR) greatest strength: its unique and at-times horrifying, always-entertaining characters, that, as far as their transfer over to TV, I--for better or worse--couldn't agree more w ur take on each character & their respective resolutions on the show. Top notch read, well done.
You can't even kill someone for holding that choke for that long. When I was watching this I thought he was putting his friend in a choke hold to put him to sleep. Next thing I know apparently the guy is dead. This was a terrible move. Sadik was a great character. Carl actually got bit bringing him into the group. They also ruined the other doctor was a funny character and I was starting to like him. Then they pull out this dumb twist that he infiltrated the group and is actually a whisperer.
There's a LOT to like about the Friday the 13th films but I think overall the best one is Part 6: Jason Lives. The most artistic and a good callback to classic horror. Halloween 4 is the same, while I saw 1 & 2 4 is my fave. It actually felt and looked like it was filmed in Autumn.
If you want to start putting out new content, definitely do reviews of these Friday the 13th movies. It would be interesting to hear what you think of the ones you haven't seen before. Also if you're a big Malcolm McDowell fan, have you ever seen the movie 'Get Crazy'? He plays an old washed-up rocker named Reggie Wanker. His singing is great in it! The movie is on RU-vid.
So… I just got to episode 8 of season 10. I wait till they show up on Netflix to watch them, so I pretty much forgot everything. The only reason I still watch is because I need to see it through. I’ve crossed the Rubicon. I hate the show, but I can’t turn back now. At this point, I have no idea who these people are and I’ve completely stopped giving a shit for anyone. I root for the zombies now.

Completely understandable. As much as I love the second movie, it can’t hold a candle to the first one. Ghostbusters truly is something special and trying to capture that lightening in a bottle is near impossible.
@@lindseythecynicalgeek3033 they’re never going to capture a cast combination with chemistry like that ever again and anything they do make will always be compared to the original two. Ghostbusters is one of the best movies I’ve seen in my entire life. It is almost a perfect film. it amazed me how it was able to break conventions and still work. There is no heroes journey. That amazes me that these characters go into and leave the movie with no real character changing arcs. There is no MacGuffin or chosen one to save the day. These are four men of science who utilize science to fight and defeat a metaphysical godlike being. That’s a strong metaphor. It’s probably one of the most quotable films ever made. When you finish your masterpiece you, put the paint brush down. That’s my rant.
I agree with the “kid” thing, but at the same time this trailer made me feel like a kid! (I had the same initial reaction to those little marshmallow men OMG!). I have to admit it was kind of exciting to see this trailer, bc in general I really won’t ever give new versions of classics much of a chance at all. I know, I know… I’m getting old - I just like my originals of everything, LOL.
Couldn’t agree more. When Andrew Lincoln left the show, I knew it didn’t have much longer to live. This show is just not the same without the Grimes. It was Rick and Carl’s story.
He did die in the source material the same way, but I completely understand why you’d drop it. Besides, the show really went downhill with that season onward so it’s no surprise why viewership has dropped.
