My name is Brad and I live in NE Ohio, zone 6. I started this particular garden from scratch in late December 2019 and want to take you along with me for the journey as much as I can!
Thanks for this video! I have lots of coneflowers too! Yours looks so beautiful! How do you keep powder mildew off yours? I water mine at the base but still seem to get it.
Why isn’t Pink Poodle on the market anymore? It is spectacular! Wish I had it. 😢Sun seeker Salmon is my second choice but it is out of stock everywhere I search online or nearby.
QUESTION!!! Wow btw, I had no idea there was so many different coneflowers! Thank you for sharing that! I love all coneflowers, they have always been my favorite, but I lost my purple one that I grew from seed last year to some kind of small white worms that invaded the roots. I just bought the most beautiful orangey red one about 3 weeks ago and noticed the color was getting drab. There are vertical cuts in the main stem. Would anyone know what that is and what to do about it? I sprayed it with soap and water but I have no idea if that will save it or kill it. 😢
Omg what beautiful collection you have! 😍😍😍👍🏼 What zone are you in? Online they say coneflower hardiness is just up to zone 8/9… but I still want to hear some people from zone 10 if they’ve tried and succeeded…. I have 5 seeds as part of a wildflower packet, which I have separated from the rest and will babysit 🤞🏼I hope they grow
Great video, I have petticoats peach growing in solid clay and they seem very happy, however it will probably take much longer to divide. Question: can anyone identify the taller plant growing behind the geums in the video? I like the foliage!
Another northeast Ohio gardener! I saw your contribution to Erin the Impatient Gardener's video of Christmas gifts for gardeners. Just finished watching the tour of your garden after rain. Lovely! I see you have many plants that deer love dining on. Are you fortunate enough not to have a problem with deer eating everything in sight? A huge problem in my area.
Growing Geum for the first time. Started from seed ‘Red Dragon’ and ‘Lady Strathenden’. They didn’t bloom this year but they didn’t die. Thank you for useful information. Amazing how you learn by watching.
Thank you for the informative video! I’m a new gardener and learning “everything coneflower” and had no idea there were so many varieties! Just beautiful.
I had a very old purple coneflower that sadly got asters yellow. Have a question… I’ve read that coneflower does not require fertilizer & some say they do. What is your rake on this matter?
I just purchased a cornflower plant just like yours! I was wondering how to repair or leave some leaves on thank you so much for a very informative video!🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
Great video! You need to figure out the RU-vid algorithm because your videos deserve more eyes viewing them. Thank you for taking the time to make them.
Won’t find seed as they don’t produce seed. You should be able to find them though. Big your local garden center! If not there are great online places like GreaTGardenPlants.com
