Discounted bulbs are great! I picked up some fall crocus for 75% off in December and planted them in our lawn. Some of them managed to push flowers put before the freeze!

I got 2 bags of the same crocus 1/2 price at Home Depot too. I usually plant a couple bags every fall in my front lawn, I've been doing it over 25 years so there's literally thousands now. A good source for mail order bulbs is Bluestone Perennials. This year I got a bag of Congress daffodils, a mixed bag of daffodils, 2 bags of chionodoxa Alba.1 bag was free, there was a billing error so they gave me the 1 bag free. And a bag of Katherine Hodgkins dwarf iris. Now I need to find the time to plant them all, it's been either raining or too cold here for the past few weeks. Unrelated, I got what might be the greatest clearance plant deal of all time at Lowes. I got a $42.98 Black Tower elderberry for 54 cents. Looking forward to seeing your display in the spring.
