Not much you can do to remedy these foundation problems with this clay soil. Getting your foundation fixed is only a temporary solution because of the clay soil. YOU CAN'T WIN UNFORTUNATELY. You will go broke trying. Only permanent solution is to move somewhere that doesn't have clay soil like to another state.
Interesting. Using this system, can you bring a house foundation back to level and close up the cracks in the structure? It seems like the lifting must be well-coordinated so as to not break or crack the slab any further. Is this system stable over the long term once installed, or does it need shim adjusting after it settles in for awhile? Thanks for any further enlightenment!
The plumbing is unhooked and completely redone. We make sure to take care of that, of course! Home Elevation is a complex construction process but we make sure to provide a high-end finish.
You had me until you stole Underdog’s motto. Tacky! I hope he sues you. Lol, JK. Your video was excellent, and I like your air exchange system. It looks way better than a regular dehumidifier.
This is correct - cost can vary greatly. In-ground lifts (around 2ft or less) can be effective and affordable. But serious lifts - in the 5ft+ range can exceed $100,000 once you factor-in aesthetics and other finishing touches to boost curb appeal. We make sure the homes are both safe AND look great when we're done.
Wondering what the slump is for the footing concrete was and I am not understanding why the space between the top of block and the existing perimeter grade beam was not dry packed with mortar so the new wall would pick up the load of the house rather than the piers that were put it during the process.
@@gary24752 did you watch the video? I didn't understand how the garage was lifted but the doors still touched the ground. I watched it again and now understand how it was accomplished.
I’m from Houston area and had no idea this was done to prevent future flooding. But I have seen a few houses in certain areas that look higher and have high front door compared to other houses around them. Now I know what they had done. Amazing work but I think I’d have to just move because I imagine this costs about as much as half the value of the house.
