@@jeydoubleyew OH!!!! McLovin doesn't understand that blocking a channel doesn't mean still can't correspond!! I just don't have to see your crusty videos anymore but you and I can correspond more than you do with your family.
This is pretty much how I felt about it, too. One part of me says you can't tell the story of the American west in a three hour movie, but I also think more to this if he was expecting people to come back to continue watching. Now I hear there will be four chapters. MAYBE. Depending on how the first two go.So, now do I watch the second one and maybe be left hanging because they don't want to go any farther? I loved the miniseries Centennial and I'm hoping this turns into something like that.
You walked out because it was boring?! 10 min into the movie was an exceptionally long, exceedingly violent Indian raid! Exactly what does it take to get your heart rate up and for you to be entertained? Or you to become interested? Or you to feel good those females were unearthed and brought out alive??!! If you were bored you need to take your simple minded requirements and go back to g-rated Disney movies. At my showing the audience cheered at the end. They understood the story, connected with history, enjoyed the content, and were thoroughly entertained. They were clearly not from the tell lies about Costner’s movie group!!
@@mircat28 Funny how you've only brought up the 1st 10 min and no other part of the movie... and even then-just because there's a violent action scene doesn't actually mean it's exciting, well-made or ties into the rest of the story! If your audience enjoyed it-if you enjoyed it, congratulations... no need to be an ass about it!
I thought the movie was pretty decent, but it was really Dementus that stole the show. I agree that the pacing was off. I was never bored but it did feel more monotonous or just more melancholy and somber than previous films, almost like a dieselpunk epic drama. I also noticed that the music was somewhat lame. ATJ did a great job, though, acting-wise. As did most of them.
I do get it trying to be more of a drama instead of a full-blown action thrill ride, its just that pacing didn't do it any favors. And yeah the music...tbh I barely noticed ANY music. I think the lack of score in some parts contributed to the off pacing and made it drag more.
I’ll be honest… I don’t buy this being 300 years later! I know a bunch of online outlets say it, but the fact they say “generations” instead seems like a last minute change
You're talking out of your arse mate. Of course it stirs controversy especially in an election year. You just dont understand American politics and what is happening in the country.
i always laugh when i see critics comparing gxk to minus one, or when they say that the monsterverse godzilla should be like minus one. lol. do you guys know that even takashi said the godzilla mosterverse version is just as important as minus one version? and he even praised adam wingard for being so faithful to the source material? yeah, the director himself gets it, why cant you people get it? its funny because, me as long time godzilla fan is laughing at you so called critics that dont know anything about the legacy that was built around godzilla. people's defense maybe, ohh, this isnt the 70s anymore. lol shut up, theres nothing wrong with being faithful to the source material and updating it so that the modern audience can enjoy. that is the importance of legendary monsterverse godzilla. its funny that youre hating gxk just because it didnt have enough focus on that humans in that part of the hollow earth, lol. the story of the movies is about kong's quest to find family and godzilla's unfinished business about a war in his past. thats all this movie needs to be, just like the other godzilla films. the japanese ones. you can never compare minus one and gxk, why? because they were never a competetion, director takashi, toho, they all praise the monsterverse because they are faithful to the source material. which is more than what i can say for the recent marvel films. lol
These are 2 different types of godzilla films. Legendary monsterverse should not be exactly like minus one. Godzilla is the protector of the planet, not necessarily of the humans. The humor was fine. At the end to just say "just watch minus one" , yes people should but there is no reason people can't experience both films and enjoy both. You have a super one-sided view where you can't even appreciate a single thing about the other film because ur overcomparing to completely different takes on these characters.
@@jeydoubleyew I'm just saying, it kinda has the same problems as this does in retrospect: repeating story beats, fan favourites getting pushed to the side, etc.
