Anytime man! It was great to meet you, and it’s great to see that old fan running, and oscillating! That fan had to have been setting at the back of a shelf for at least 25 years. Excellent work!!
Awesome video of this larry! You know your going to find just about everything at Michael Mirrens house. Man if only I were closer I would ask him about the homart window cooler . I see got a Wizard box fan :) I have the 20inch version very similar to that one but mine was made the C&H Air conditioning fan company, I aslo liked the hassock fans too. I enjoyed the video.
Great video Larry !! Always a great time at Fan Fairs catching up with old and new fan friends looks like you n everyone had a Great time !! Saw a lot of familiar faces wish I could have made it this year but couldn’t find a copilot for the 13 hr drive from Jersey !!
Wow! What fun! I have been to the fan museum twice. Took my parents once and they were impressed. I just joined the AFCA about a month ago. It’s funny, you had just posted this. I saw it a few minutes afterwards and as soon as I saw it started watching. About five minutes into it my wife comes in and hands me the Fan Collector magazine that came in the mail. Lol I live in Texas but I’m from a small town north of Indy. I have been traveling back and forth on I-57 & I-55 since 1978. I recognize the bridge over the Mississippi. Thanks for the long video of this it was fun! Now I can attend some meets and next year’s convention.
Ohhhh man, what a treasure trove with all those antique incandescent and fluorescent lighting fixtures! And hey, I’m a box fan person😆 great score on that new in box Lasko!
Yeah I think that might be factory applied ivory. I think they sometimes painted custom colors on top of Japan since it did such a good job filling in the imperfections. Although…the paint on that blade is in pretty good shape. No idea on the why the gearbox is black though. I mean you’d think anyone that was going to paint it would’ve just painted the box too. Fwiw that fiber washer on the rotor shaft when you shined the light in there, that looked pretty bright red like a newer one not the older ones. So…those electrical guys must’ve been in there. Maybe they swapped gearboxes too.
Thanks for taking me along ,we do auctions at least once a month seems like sometimes its good stuff cheap and sometimes cheap stuff high. depends on the crowd i guess, also do online auctions just snagged a Lane acclaim mcm side table for 11$ and a Manning Bowman # 52 fan for 1$, do you know where I can find any info about it ?
