That's a lovely old heater! The over-the-top styling is epic! You are fortunate to have found that. I can only imagine how many people would buy that, cut the cord off, and use it for a display piece high up on the wall in a trendy restaurant. That needs to be used! I have a few old heaters (not as many as I have fans) and to use them. In my home there is nothing to worry about with no kids nor pets to interfere with the heater. The new ones have plastic housings which can ignite if the cheap switch or wiring develops hot spots. The old ones are literally all metal and nothing to burn!

What a groovy old space heater. I have an old Arvin down in the basement. I'll have to go fire it up sometime. Enjoy your channel.

What's the Sears part number? The first three digits are the manufacturer.

@@theantiquefanatic 336 shows to be Electrolux according to the list I have.

@@dennisp.2147 I have the same document. The problem is there are other items with that same number that are obviously not Electrolux. Example there is a Kenmore fan with 336 that is a Signal.

@@theantiquefanatic Yeah, unfortunately, over the years Sears did appear to re-use some numbers. But in general they're accurate about 90% of the time. For instance, I collect primarily vintage lanterns. 476 is Coleman, and was for almost 70 years and 710 is AGM and 742 is Prentiss Wabers.

7:41 Nothing to worry about, just some asbestos insulation blowing out of it. 😆
