Only 1 big change needs to be made. Replace the diesel generator with hydrogen back up system that converts salt water to hydrogen and hydren to electricity when needed. Zero carbon footprint and HUGE bonus of ability to store in hydrogen the equivalent of 100 times the amount of kilowatts your battery storage is capable of at ZERO dollars. Increasing range to much greater distances and traveling at much higher speeds than 3-4 knots.
No offence, but this dated yacht utilized a poor design mantra in respect to the tiny cabins and sleeping arrangements for such an otherwise huge vessel. In todays market, the designs are crammed full of amenities, and with much smaller footage. The two aft cabins in the starboard and port hulls make terrible use of space, with the deck configuration protruding into the sleep areas of the cabin. Instead of utilizing more of the hulls footage to increase the cabins accessibility and comfort, these are like holding cells. The lack of daylight in the hulls is also dreadful.
Very nice boat. Big, spacious. I wonder how it goes. Sunreef says it's light and quick. I wonder if it's true. Sunreefs don't ever look fast but who knows. Is this guy part of the crew? If not, well done doing the research. Lots of interesting details about the boat.
So which is the accurate description, this or the one on Yachtworld? Different materials, equipment, etc. For one, what are the real engine ours, solar, batteries, etc.
Brent’s must be on good money with lagoon lol mate you talk to much poop bias haha Colin was honest and always kept lagoon in good terms but when the boat is failing in major ways you have to consider the facts but we always see this a big company has there reputation to hold and will never admit there floors always blaming someone or relating it to not being as bad as what it is or totally ignoring the situation til people forget but yes Brent you look like one of those guys if it was red you would fight that it was green lol so keep talking your kaka
In what way did Colin exhibit bias in his videos? Apart from the bulkhead issue he is a big fan of the Lagoon 450. If you make an unfounded accusation like that you should back it up, which you didn't. He has no reason or any motivation to be biased. As a seller of many of these cats with probably a strong relationship with Lagoon and a vested interested in these boats holding their value that accusation could be more accurately directed at yourself.
After watching ALL of the videos fixing the boat in that ʻbiasedʻ series, my take is that lagoon 450ʻs (and maybe all boats out of that facility) are not properly tabbed together in a bunch of areas. If your boat has had any damage, that poor construction will allow more damage than you expect from whatever you experienced, and you may not need to have any accidents or impacts to see disabling levels of damage- the bulkeads arent tabbed into the hull properly in factory, and the bow decks arenʻt properly tabbed to the hull either- so iʻm gonna have to assume none of it is properly tabbed together for strength. Also Colin is EXTEMLY kind and graceful toward lagoon about this obviously poor manufacturing method, only getting justifiably but politely upset when lagoon was acting like they were going to ignore this clear liability they are responsible for. And he extended them the grace to get it right- though i personally think they need to go farther because of the poor quality factory tabbing job over all..
@SunreefTeam - what is the build time for a Sunreef Eco 80 SV?? Also, can you design a 'garage' for the 80 like there is on the 100 - for toys (scuba, jetski, etc.)
Don't trust a salesman or a Lagoon. It's not just the 450. They are all made of the same cheap material and glued together. Interiors that squeak are the result of things moving.
