This Lidgard Executive 73 sailing catamaran was conceived to be the ultimate long-range cruiser that offers comfort at anchor with safety and performance underway. Designed by the esteemed multihull designer Lidgard and built by Executive Yachts of Australia. This Lidgard performance catamaran was built with super light construction, a reinforced epoxy carbon fiber blend.
The luxurious Executive 73 offers space and comfort to owners and guests. This boat offers an exhilarating sail reaching up to 22 knots in speed and a comfortable cruise at 10 knots. She is built to the highest standards and is hand finished with excellent taste. This catamaran is also USCG documented with its home port being Sullivans Island, SC. However, with its minimum draft being 4 feet 6 inches it has performed incredibly well in the Bahamas. This vessel was built to commercial standards where you will find safety equipment not commonly found.

If the interior helm station is only for offshore navigation, why is there a joystick and bow thruster control? Wouldn't those both be used for docking?

Modern cats are laid out far better despite being only 50 to 60 ft. This boat is just a money pit. Spend, spend and spend again and it will always be just the same.

Spend a couple million building a custom 73 ft. cat and have smaller aft cabins than a 45 ft. production cat. 👍 Great work.

@@michaelhollingshead972 All the cabins are really small for such a large boat. Never seen master and VIP cabins this tiny on a boat over 55ft.

@@jamesaron1967 Exactly. It is like the opposite of the TARDIS on Dr Who. Smaller on the inside than it should be. How does a sixty foot gunboat, a true performance cat, have larger cabins?

@@michaelhollingshead972 I know, I'm trying to understand the designer's intent. This yacht has ultra-narrow hulls of a performance catamaran yet the bridgedeck is built like a high luxury cruiser. Opposing design philosophies and objectives. It looks top heavy with that huge raised galley/bar in the middle. The berths in all the cabins barely seem to be doubles in size. Some of them don't appear big enough for adults unless it was the camera angle. The main deck cabins are a nice touch and smart use of main deck space but not at that size. I've seen catamarans shorter than this with large main deck master cabin that would put these two cabins to shame. The way I see best use of this yacht is as a short passage island hopper with many guests that won't be staying on board for long. Either in the Caribbean or the Med. It would be good as a party boat, but long passages I'm not so sure given the cabin accommodations even if she's quick. Hope I'm wrong..

@@jamesaron1967 The raised galley is another wtf for me. Who puts a tripping hazard in the middle of a salon if they don't have to? It doesn't say "classy" to me, it says "let's see how many twisted ankles or trip and falls we have on this passage". They say every boat is a compromise, but it seems like the designer thought they should get extra compromises to get their money's worth.

If you are going to spend the time to talk about the escape hatches, toilets, storage, etc, then during that time, open it! Show us. Then you can talk about the materials used in construction, draught, engine access, etc., just to round out the vid. We all have these questions. Cheers.

Очень неудачная планировка общего салона (интерьер) . Салон должен просматриваться вдоль и поперек . А на этой модели салон заставлен шкафами от пола до потолка . Это что , хранилище шкафов ?
