Das sieht echt schön und teuer aus, aber Kupfer oxidiert doch, dann wird es bald nicht mehr so glänzen, oder kann man Kupfer auch vor Oxidation schützen?
Schöner Bau! Würde mich in der neuen, bunten 10 Millionen Schweiz aber nicht wundern, wenn da plötzlich Fassadenteile von sogenannten "Fachkräften" entwendet werden....
I rode this once (when the Gimmelwald tram was out of order for some reason), I looved the "workmanlike" feel of it, not so automated, like an engineer's den 🙂 I have a video of the ride somewhere.
Wäre es nicht besser wenn diese ganze Technik an Mechanik (Die Seilräder etc) an der Bergstation nicht etwas wettergeschützter installiert würden? anstatt so offen?
Ich frag mich ja schon, musste man unbedingt den direkten Weg nach unten nehmen - den steilsten Weg? Hätte man nicht irgendwie die alte Route ausbauen können z.B. mit einer Art 3S-Bahn die ggf in Gimmelwald umgelenkt wird um ein Umsteigen zu vermeiden? Sieht ja schon pervers steil aus. Würde eine Rettung per Helikopter auch erheblich erschweren wenn mal ein Notfall eintreten sollte - der kann ja dann wegen dem steil ansteigendem Tragseil noch weniger nah ran.
1974 at 19 years old I worked on a concrete crew underground on the Washington DC subway construction. I can't even imagine the complexities of those pours. However later I was a snow plow driver so I have a bit of an idea. Thank you for these interesting videos.
Fantastic video. I have been up the old lift system from Stechelberg and it will be wonderful to have this new lift. Thank you to all the men and women working on it. It looks quite dangerous - not only the danger of falling but the risk to people below if a tool or even a nut slips from the hand, it could harm someone. I’m sure they will keep the area clear. Amazing.
now thats a job to face your fear of Height's in particular when you have build a cable car sapport over the edge of a mountain. i saw this being build when i was in Switzerland towards the end of february 2024 this year when i went on the Schilthorn cable car.
@SchilthornPizGloria Would it be possible for you to reactivate one of your Schilthorn Piz Gloria Imagefilm that was uploaded 4 or 5 years ago please ,The video lasted approximately 2:30 min and had very pleasant music . The video start like the video "Portrait - Alan Ramsay" also the video gave us a tour of the mountains, trail, restaurant, the old museum and Piz Gloria, I recently saw the video last year and it was very cool! I would love to see the video again.
