Heller is not up to Alex's level. He looks like a dull, limited, and uninteresting character. I don't even understand why Alex chose him in the first place.

Just think, Heller might not exist if Cross survived the first game. Him and Alex already have history, and they could have even headlined Prototype 2 with Robert Cross being Pariah since they are only 2 years apart in age. Prototype 2 could have been something truly different.
Not a very good writing move to make the protaganist of the last game, who was portrayed as 3 dimensinal character with flaws and character development. To a 1 dimensinal villain character who is evil becuse he is evil, with little too no exlpanation [unless we use 3rd party media but regardles it's bad] with little to no motavation.
After all these years i might have noticed something, when Mercer “guides” Heller to consume that Blackwatch soldier to learn who is to blame. The voices there sound similar to Mercer’s, he probably altered those visions to make him look innocent and gain Heller’s cooperation.
It's bothersome to me that they never elaborate why Alex went from trying to save humanity against the threat of this virus while getting revenge on the government that screwed him over to humanity is the disease and must be reborn. Between 1 and 2 Alex traveled the world and face many crises. He also witnessed humans screw each other over and leave others for dead. Determining humanity to be broken and currupted. I wish it was written differently but the murder your maker campaign has alot of hype behind it. I still think prototype 1 was better because you had alot more interactability with the environment. You could call in airstrikes and even point to people you suspect are Alex Mercer and the military will shoot them. Heller does have some interesting powers like summoning the beast monsters, (forgot what they were called)
I wish you could choose to join Alex mercer like in the same way they do infamous where you get choices to be bad and good and the bad ending being you join Alex and the evolved in taking over the world
I don't know about you but I like Alex Mercer as a villain, I'm sure he and Albert Wesker would get along great, and incidentally would make a terrible headache duo for any protagonist😅. Pd:2022, still waiting for Prototype 3, but good news, Microsoft bought Activision so, maybe they will decide to bring the franchise back.
