My channel is all about aviation! I focus primarily on flight sims and how they can impact your aviation experience, but I do veer somewhat into the world of IRL aviation, in which I am working on my PPL. I also stream playing video games every weekend so if you enjoy the more casual gaming experience, then you are always welcome!
Studying to be a controller at ZAU ARTCC (Chicago) and the ORD8 and MDW7 is very interesting but it’s easy for clearances cuz you only have to give one departure for every IFR aircraft 😂
Great job mate! Not gonna lie this series inspired me to train for ATC as well lol. Im currently undertaking prac training. Good luck with your journey!
Hey there! S2 controller right now at ZLA, I used to struggle months ago with clearances and stuff. You're doing awesome for an OBS, keep up the good work!
10,000 rpm for idle, I didn't realize the piper has a jet engine for a powerplant 😅 From experience, trying to do pattern work in MSFS2020 (with a 172) does tend to be a bit challenging with the fixed camera angles and lack of adjustable FOV (trying to preform power off 180s at KUUU, 😖), If you can afford it, having a VR headset does help with tightening the turns in the pattern (Student Solo and AGI here)
I learn so much with you bro fr, i struggle sometimes with the american clearances but with your training i learn so much more with it! With you doing that it seems more easy for me to readback LOL, amazing series, keep it up!
Hey loved the video and nice work on the training. Just wanna say make sure you self identify more so like "N123AB Memphis Ground..." they're really going to be hard on you on that later and when a aircraft calls for clearance instead of looking for them you can do CTR + F and type in there callsign. Otherwise great vid keep up the work.👍
I am in almost the exact same situation as you. High school student pilot spending a lot of time on VATSIM while I save for more lessons. Keep up the good work and amazing video!
Awesome, Im a training S1 in KZLA and your videos inspired me to get here. Literally the day after watching your videos about the process, I joined the vatusa academy and a week later passed the exam. Keep up the good work!
I'd like to do some VFR in the states. I now have my private pilots license in the UK. You guys have tonnes of Class B airspace where we don't have any in Europe. Is it quite free to fly around in the US or is there tonnes of airspace? Thanks.
hey man My name is John Milstead i’m a s2 in the ZMA ARTCC and a Private pilot with my Instrument rating, and i would like to say that i support what you are doing and would love to help
i cannot figure out how to get my CRC set up like that, lol. but then again i'm only looking to observe, so i can one day perhaps get as far as you! keep up the great work!
I love watching the start of a new VATSIM controller! As an S2 at Denver ARTCC, I love watching new controllers learn and grow like i did in the beginning. Great video!
Hello! I have a few questions about VATSIM. I've already made an account, but i never used it because i was/still am kinda scared 😅 but do yall do training sessions for dummy pilots at a smaller airport to check if our equipment is set up right and to maybe get rid of that stage fright? Thanks Have a great day!
Hey man! So vatsim does offer opportunities to get your virtual “licenses” it is something I have never tried and probably won’t try, (because technically it is not necessarily needed to fly any of the planes), but having racked up a good amount of vatsim hours, i would say the best thing you can do is fly CTAF airspace before controlled and then slowly ease your way into airspace controlled by just a ground, and continuing all the way up until you feel comfortable
