I used to watch this as a kid, and I remember sometimes you'd see the film crew accidentally walk into the shot of the end credits and trip on a cord lol.
Hearing this music and watching this show on the television meant that it was time for lunch at my grandmother's house to this 9 year old. I remember this show like it was yesterday and refuse to believe that it was almost 50 (gasp) years ago. Lol!!!!!
If you wanna get young and sassy, bold and brassy, there’s one place to get it on. If you wanna get your whole world turning, make your light burn, you just have to get it on. Go head girl get it on. Don’t be afraid now get it on. Get it on, get it on. Get it on!
Makes me want to cry thinking about all these shows my great grandmother and me always enjoyed watching together when I was sick 🤧 Even thought by the time this came on I wanted to sleep but tried to stay awake 😊
Man, do I wish Another World would come back? This show had one of my favorite Soap Opera Intros, but because of school, I could hardly ever watch Another World.😞
In the opening scene, Peter Ames was mentioned and I can remember at one point my grandparents watching another CBS soap and commenting “That’s the “first” Peter Ames’”. They were excited to see that particular actor somewhere else! I am SO enjoying exploring all these vintage soaps from my childhood and beyond!
I LOVE BOTH THE RYAN'S HOPE THEME AND LOVING THEME that is played in this. No offense to anyone, but its not a great version due to 2nd and third generation taping. But those songs in its purist forms are so beautiful and bring tears to my eyes and emotions. I wish there was a better later years version of Ryan's hope closing credits no talking in background and with its closing credits proper ending. There is a beautiful 1980s version closing credits no background music and plays it in full and is so beautiful <3 much love fans <3
I refuse believe this was 31 years ago- where the hell did the time go?! Still drink this from time to time, mostly the zero version. Kidhood memories.....
Hello! Ma baby You're in the red You're wanted by the IRS The repo man wants your car You'd best kiss it _au revoir_ Enjoy what you got It isn't a lot It's certainly not money Check into the (DING) poor house And tell 'em, "It's on me!" The bills continue to pile Go bankrupt in style Just pay the electricity Spark up the big screen (ZAP) And watch The WB, yeah!
I told UK Soap fans about the Organ playing and they were in stiches. Coronation Street that debuted on December 9th 1960 was based on The Novel Saturday Night & Sunday Morning. All of The UK Soaps are owned individually. Although many of them or linked. Some have small parts on Coronation Street and go on Emmerdale, and vice versa. Then Actors from The Prison Drama Bad Girls reunite on Eastenders.
