I have never played any of the Nier games or interacted with the franchise in any meaningful way but this is still pretty nice :') Good luck man o7 I'm sure you'll do great :3c
it was still HR3, it was still worst hr player, it was also shiba and dio in both semifinal and grand final. what a miracle this owc was. our commentators must have felt like they were living in one of the greatest time to commentate.
Appreciate the recaps throughout the years, whether you continue to make them in the future or not, best regards to whatever you will be doing in life!
I'm personally sad poolers ruined this world cup entirely. The pools were overall much more forgettable and chaotic, I really don't think owc is the tournament in which you can experiment that much. And to top it off, that last pool being incredibly biased towards USA really left me on a bitter note at the end. 5 raw speed maps in the pool + many more maps US favored, + an unwinnable tb for Korea... The excuse that you can't increase the difficulty without an increase in BPM is complete bullshit in my humble opinion. You could do lower ar, higher cs, gimmick finger control, more slidertech, alt maps WITHOUT 270bpm bursts in them... etc And I mean when you see stuff like Dada's tweet denying all of it and basically telling that the Korean players just have a shitty mentality to point out how US favored the pool was... yeah, you really feel the bias coming from one of the main organisers of the tournament. I wouldn't have been feeling this way if USA had won on a fair pool. I was of course rooting for Korea but if USA were just objectively stronger, that's how it is. But here, with how close Korea made it despite the pool being ridiculousely targetted against them, I feel like on a normal pool Korea would have won like, 7-3 no bracket reset. So not only is it unfair for the Korean players, but in my opinion it tainted USA's victory quite a great deal. And from what I saw in many discord servers and on twitter I know I'm not the only one seeing that problem with this year's owc. Anyway, thank you for all the recaps as always, sorry for the rant but I really hope that next year the staff won't attempt to hand the win to USA again cause if that's how it's going to be every year, we shouldn't even have an owc in the first place.
