Keep talking. Everything you say is truthful and useful. It’s very rare to find such accurate and honest info on the net nowadays. Thanks millions for your great videos and sick suspension products.
just bought the easy idle screw a few days ago and watched up on both of these videos. Thank's for going into such detail on how to do everything, it answers all the questions I didn't even know I had.
Hello Jeff. I just purchased a 2017 EXC-F with 100 hrs, 2,500 miles (uncorked, Vortex ECU). Previous owner had 14/48, but I liked neither 5th nor 6th gear crusing on paved connector roads at about 55 - 60mph. I was going to try 15 front to put it back to the stock ratio, or 50 rear to make 6th useable, but I saw this video, so I just ordered a 47 and will try what you said (14/47). Thank you!
What if the bike wants to stall when you have 1-5% throtle going real slow, it lugs fu e until I go to give it a tiny bit of gas and it stalls or stutters ? I haven't blocked of the ais yet on a crf450l
Any ideas if everything’s getting power but the solenoid doesn’t click and the starter won’t jump? I put a new starter in it thinking it went bad but still the same. .17 300xcw
It's great that these parts are less expensive than the ktm parts but what would be even better is a product that would help prevent the kickstand mounting hardware from falling out in the first place.
Yes, an obvious thing to use. And yet I have heard many reports of people using thread lock but still having the spring fly off, and sometimes the entire kickstand falling off.
I have never had a problem with any of my KTM kickstands...when performing an oil change and air filter cleaning I check the kickstand bolts and lube the assembly, that's the difference between all the other people having issues, they don't check things. BTW, my buddies Beta kickstand flew off springs and all. So it's not a KTM issue.
I run 5 lbs on Tubliss on the VE33S. 60 hrs on them riding CO, UT, ID. Won't change them until I rip one of the lugs, still good tread on them. They are all cracking at the base but not one has ripped off yet. Great tire.
Just bought a 2024 KTM 300 XC-W. Didn't even know I needed this. Found this video while trying to figure out what springs I need for my fat body. This, plus not worrying about sag is going to simplify things for a newer rider. Thank you!
I just bought the same bike and was wondering what all the parts where in the bag. The service department at my dealership wasn’t quite sure. It looked like to me a de-smog kit. If that is what it is, it would be great to have a video on doing the exchange of the parts. Looking forward to your build. Like and subscribed.
@@slaverace1 Hi Jeff, I removed all the tubes for the vapor canaster and removed the vacuum pump and replaced the dongle that came with the kit (boxed parts). I removed the O2 sensor from the head pipe and replaced the dongle that came with the kit (boxed parts). I removed the barbed nipple on the intake and replaced it with the provided screw that had some yellow lock tight pre lubed. I started the bike up and I get an error code, 5 long flashes and 3 short flashes. Do you know what could be the problem? I placed the fuel tank breather tube from the top of the gas cap to the top of the charcoal canaster on the right side of the bike. That seemed to be the most logical, but maybe I am wrong. Any help will be much appreciated.
I’ve had 3 heart attacks and a stroke this January.. starting in Jan of 07’.. and I’m back riding.. It’s be hungry and learn. So I’m 35 lbs less. I’m plant based. No drinking or crap food. I just started taking magnesium and headaches I had for 50 years disappeared!!! I’m more fit and working on being better. I’ve got 11 stents in my heart. Just keep working at it.
Hello Surfer Dude: I'm not a fan of the relocation kit. Sorry, we no longer offer the reflash service because the TSP ERM slavensracing.com/shop/ecu-reflash-module-erm-by-two-stroke-performance/ is much better for only a few dollars more. The ERM will blow your mind, easy to install and use and excellent performance gains.
If you don't like it I might be interested in buying it next year. I'm going to get a 24 or 25 depending on if they really don't change anything for 2025.
I literally did this today. This video saved me, I even bought a new battery and it turned out I had the two screws mixed up. Switched them back and the starter worked no problem. Thanks Jeff.
What did you think about the progressive spring on your bike Jeff? Alek said you went with that for a while. I already installed the National and Lucky's in my 2022 500 EXCF, but hoping I don't need to go that far with the so24 300 XC-W? By the way, the MX Tech on the 500 with the Mule valving is simply incredible!
i did this on my 2020 300 xcw and also the Coober ECU. WOW it runs so much better. off idle is way better. no more pipe bang, and no more stalling on downhills. super happy with this bike.
Hello Cade: The vacuum pump only removes fumes from the fuel tank and has NO effect on fueling, however the bikes are extremely lean from the factory and the ECU needs upgraded for proper performance, to stop flame outs and to increase engine life. Great video which makes me have a question regarding my '21 500 XCF-W. Going to install a fuel dongle and disconnect the 02 sensor 9:31 . Should i leave the reed1 installed or remove it? Don't want it to run lean. Thx!!
Hello From the factory they are extremely lean and any mod you do to the intake or exhaust will make it even leaner. To correct the lean issue you MUST replace the ECU with a Vortex or GET ECU. There are NO cheaper solutions that are worthwhile.
Good luck with your recovery. You are looking great. I just finished up my hormone and 9 weeks of radiation treatment. So far so good. The difficulty involved with PC treatment varies with every individual.
Great video. I gained quite a bit of weight. According to the chart I should have the next spring up. I hope/expect to get back down in the range of my current spring and I don't want to "spring" for a new spring just yet. Maybe down the road if I end up stuck at this weight. Is there a rule of thumb for how much extra pre-load to start off with when you find yourself on a spring that is one notch down from where you should be?
Hello Rob: You should never crank up the preload to compensate for the wrong spring and you should never change just the shock spring. Both will make the bike out of balance. Leave it as is or change fork and shock springs.
Works great for me. I use it for tunnels and for emergencies. It has 2375 lumens. If you want a light for night riding, you need one of our many options with higher output.
You are so right Jeff! I hate that fast idle when the engine is cold, and as you have explained, more air will lean out the bike. I thank you for your excellent advice. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Jeff, I am also curious, can 2 of these be installed in one shock? Lowering bike around the 60mm mark? I want to fit a wp rear shock to beta xtrainer but would need two lowering rings stacked, is that possible ?
dang i read in manual 3 hrs was the break in period and now im reading have to change oil after 1 hr. Im at 2.2 hours how bad is this . that im just now going to drain and change oil at 2.2 hours
