I started with RC when I was young. I remember a Kyosho buggy I had when I was about six years old. I had a lot of fun with it. I was amazed that it never broke until a car drove over it 😆
Around 12 years old my father gave me a Kyosho nitro rally car. I had a blast with it. I had it for a few years.
Then I had a break with RC for about 30 years. Cant believe I am so old 😂
Anyhow I bought a rc car when Covid came. I needed something to do. I didnt know about lipos then. I was amazed by the power of my electric car. And had more fun than ever.
After some time with electric I felt that it was to easy. And never liked the noise from electrics. I decided that I needed a nitro car again 😁
With kids there are lots of sick days. During a period with lots of sick days I needed something to do. I started my youtube channel just for fun without a clue about what I was doing 🙂
@MegaDeth859 Thank you 😀 The engine feels very good. It's not shifting gear but I wanted the engine to be fully broken in before setting the shift point. Next time I will set the second gear and do some bashing 😁
It's a great plug for the f4.6 👍 the body keeps getting better and would say I like how it looks when I drive it. What do you think about second gear? Should I go through more tanks before setting the shift point?
Man, I'm new to the rc nitro world, but we need to stop doing the break-in at idle. This is wrong, it’s not for nothing that manufacturers say to break in with speed. About gasoline two-stroke engines, which are more popular than nitro, all users have known about this for a long time
Comparing a gas engine to nitro doesn’t work. Apples and oranges. The break in process is different for both. Adam Drake has been racing nitro for over 20 yrs. His break in procedure includes several idle tanks. Pretty sure he knows what he’s doing.
@@evil14life Adam Drake probably doesn’t even know the physics and chemistry of engine processes, this is purely practice, which cannot be compared with real knowledge. Traxxas, Kyosho, Losi recommend running it at speed. Traxxas specifically states that running it at idle will not give the “best” results. They tested their cars on the stand for hours, it's not just like that.
I own the 5.9 gtxl I suggest to change your tank to to a arrma petrol tank u will have less leaning out problems once below half a tank ....... watch Kevin talbot for some tips on them if youre unsure
Yes I noticed that today when I had tuned my engine. Worked ok but had to drive richer than I would like when the tank was full. I guess you mean Traxxas? I have never seen ARRMA nitros. Thanks for the tip. If it bothers me in the future I will check it 🙌👍
Thanks 🙌 I didn't find the hex nut. Have you tested different glow plugs in your Nitrostar 4.6? I'm not sure what is best, probably os#8? Thanks for watching and commenting buddy 🙏
@@electricnitrorc hi Friend I’ve never owned the f4.6 so I’m not able to advise you I try to run OS plugs if budget allows an mc or os 8 would be my advice without a hot plug I’ve idle won’t be great and tune will be affected 👍
towards the end of the video when you started to richen the low speed it started to blow a small amount of smoke. can't wait until it's fully tuned bro.
You are probably right. But there was almost no smoke with both HSN and LSN flushed. Smoke is one indicator with a few others like sound, throttle response etc
That's the plug I usually use 🙂 Unfortunately I don't have any new #8. Have a couple of #6 but that's probably not the best plug for that engine/fuel. You have any experience with OS #6?
It's not possible to fit a big block on a small block engine holder, so I had to change the holder and file on the chassi. And it is still not perfect but I'm planning to make a few adjustments to make it fit better. If it was delivered with a big block they would need to make it beefier as well so the cost would probably decrease the sales. But in my opinion it should be delivered with a little smaller clutch bell to increase the low end power.
Is the receiver or control only.. 😅Because my friend car also like this too.. 😂im after help him change receiver, dumbbell controller & servo 35kg every things is ok all.. 😅he now under keep the money want upgrade castle brushless motor & mamba x ESC only.. 🤣Im say he are crazy..
The servo was bad from the first run 🙁 Having a SRT servo in it now but have stripped the front diff two times in a row, so I don't have any luck with this car. I would advise against putting more powerful setups in this because it would probably just break 😩
The Kyosho has much better quality parts and less maintenance. I would say the Kyosho is great as a first nitro. And it has much better engine options if you want to increase the speed and power.
