That’s like me not recording every CTA bus engine sound with my tape player because they were retiring them and the current buses aren’t as exciting as the older ones were.
I see my dad and I waving to the train at 1:23. I can recognize his 1999 Ford Escort anywhere! Amazing footage. I still come here to Centerport many times a week and keep Bob company in the mornings haha
Gosh this is just beautiful! Unfortunately with the silly chargers taking over Amtrak will no longer sound like this in the coming years sadly, this sound will be missed and will always send chills through my body!
@@benjamindeloney Yeah they all have K5LA’s but they play a different octave, they have the Raised Letter variant that sounds rather unpleasant and not only that their horns sound artificial compared to most other locomotives.
@@benjamindeloney they don't have the corkers though. These things were the OG's that had cork gaskets and made them sound unlike any other K5LA. These particular types of horns were more mellow, and these days they're very hard to obtain and extremely expensive and collectible.
Fantastic video great review there's no way to say or count how many times i watched it iam am obssesed with that train since my first encounter with it by the hudson line in1986 it was love at first site i got my ph3 early set also but with power coaches#s 154&155 which were the ones matt donelly rode when he was 3yrs old std-alb but coach i watched that one too to numerous to count hope you and yours enjoy this set for years to come
