I rather go direct to consumer instead of spotify but I can see it being a good thing if you guys are the one helping via that link you posted here. I just refuse to work with shady companies.
5 grand isnt nothing. Cant survive off that. min record label should start you off with is 250K-300k so you can hire the right team to go full-time with your music career. Just pray you can go Platinum so you can get that million+ dollar contract deals. 5k isn't worth signing for record label. Just work for the rest of your life and make and sell your own music.
As always, great content. @Burstimo I’ve utilized a lot of what you taught with musicians i met and my own projects and I’m seeing great results. A quick q, I wonder perhaps if there’s room to work in your agency?
It helps a lot also if u are a hot chick and already known. Even garbage tracks of yours will end up high in spotify editorial playlists. Currently, the garbage track Ayana from pretty pink is at the top of the electronic rising playlist. Seriously?
If you can do all these things, you don’t need a label. If a label isn’t willing to help with these things.. they’re a shit label and there is nothing in it for you.
Would be great to do a entire pd cast on how Spotify takes down full albums stating paid Bots and which isnt the case. With proof lawyers class action suites. There massive Debt, going public and partly owned by major labels, the back room deals.
Can you motivate me to be a insta of my friend can you support me😢😮🎉 please please please send me some message 😭 what I feel lonely I don't have any friends 😔😭 can we able to be a friend😊
@Burstimo I am about to release my song "WAR in the City". Can you please help me figure out what you said? I GOT Spotify, and I will use CDBaby, but I must be doing something wrong. On my last track I only got 4044 views on my song, and on CdBaby I've only made $47.41
It took me 790 songs but that 790th song hit for 30k in 1 day on the view count on tiktok.. Too early to tell if it goes viral. It might take someone 790 songs like it did me to get some views.
So far I have spent $130 and received x1 playlist submission. Now It is a good playlist and I am grateful, but the biggest issue that I have is: While I take time to study each curater, to make sure that my track matches their wants, I still get the generic responses like: "The track is great, great vocals and such however, your track is not what we are looking for." Or it doesn't fit our playlist. To me this seem as if the curater is writing just enough to get paid per the rules, but then resorts the the tired old: It doesn't match our wants and such. This is lame as I carefuly pick each curator to adhere to what they are accepting (genre and wants). Something fishy going on there. Will I continue to use Groover? No I will not. Cheers from Australia.
Great advice! I’ve been focusing more on documenting my music journey, and it’s made a huge difference. Just started using boost app social to spice up my posts with unique fonts and quotes. It’s like having a little creative assistant right on my phone!
This video is spot on! I've been using boost app social which helps a lot with creating engaging content quickly. It’s made maintaining my social media presence much easier and more impactful.
I publish music on SoundCloud but it’s not upgraded . But I want things that’s on radio even if there music no words . I don’t like scams don’t like pay not even if it’s year, monthly , and, weekly . I do want to be paid too but properly and I want to earn it no one else not even Spotify. I put copyright symbol but I don’t do dumb papers to get copyright because you don’t know they might own your stuff which it’s suspicious and people keep saying copyright your stuff with license paper but I was told which I’m a artist that paints too, I was told by my moms best friends sence high school that’s a famouse artist say I don’t need paper license copyright just put a symbol on there . I am born with microcephaly disability that’s like aurtisum , but I get confused a lot but I am very protective of the stuff I create that’s my original art and music . Having truble writing my books and even I’m protective of my books. But I heard SoundCloud and Spotify Is bad but you also have to pay and you don’t get paid better and they steal your songs . I don’t know what to do . 8:08
