Hi! My name is Maya! I'm a 24 year old content creator located in Chicago! On this channel I create commentary & beauty videos. My doctor prescribed me a 90 day dose that I filled back in like November and still don’t have the courage to take it. I think I’ve tried just about all I can and I’m willing to try. I’m nervous, but I need a change. 30 year old Black girl and I don’t know anyone else to talk to about it, so thank you for this
@@Mrsbribradley Haven’t taken it, sis! I started working out consistently and getting closer to God things have gotten sooooo much better for me. I am NOT saying that you shouldn’t take it bc of my experience. You, of course, have got to do what’s best for you❤️ but, I think I’ve learned more mechanisms that can help me in those moments. Wishing you the best💗
Thank you so much! I have been strongly considering seeking out a psychiatrist to get prescribed medication for my anxiety and depression after the symptoms have not subsided for about 2 years now. (I'm a nursing student btw) . This has really helped especially since we do not have much representation in our community about this topic!
I’m so happy I could help 😭 I think I’m on my second year on meds so I think I’ll do an update video about my experience 💗💗 and yes girl we have to talk about it because the supplements just weren’t cutting it 😭😭
I’m still using my 13 pro Max, if the new iphone 16, will be bigger, 6.9, maybe i wiil change it, but i don’t think is a good change , 13 pro max, by 14 pro max
No I totally agree! If I didn’t have to get a new iPhone I would have stuck with mine. I kind of feel like there’s only small changes between each phone at this point
So it looks like you can only by the iPhone 14 Pro Max pre owned or refurbished and the iPhone 14 Pro Max 256gb is $1049 and for the 512 gb I only saw trade in options from different phone providers.
I totally get you! If I could have stayed with the iPhone 13 I would have stayed. I am really happy with my iPhone 14 so it worked out but I’d definitely say keep your iPhone 13 as long as you can ☺️
Hey! So far I really like it and I definitely think the camera is better than my 13. I ended up with the 14 as a replacement for my cracked 13 so I didn't get a choice. I honestly think most of these are basically the same now with a slight difference in camera. If your 12 is still working good I'd say hold on to that one until you really have to update it.
@@mayasvalentine cool ,nah I had this from 2020 I think it’s time for a pro phone ,I’ll hold on to 4 years too ,you have a new sub from The Bahamas 🇧🇸 btw 🎉✊🏾
@@mayasvalentine Black or not, your perspective changes everything and it seems you already had a negative perspective from the start so you’d be more inclined to find more negative encounters. This could of course be due to your initial experience ruining it for you but like someone else said, not everything you described gave off ‘this is racism’, but rather you perceived it as racist/ bad vibes. Which is valid for you as a personal experience but can’t be generalised to saying it’s a racist place
@@thandiebbz1 I completely disagree with you. I have a masters degree in social science with a concentration in the intersection of Black politics and Women & Politics. I probably understand racial dynamics better than anyone you know, so no I’m not talking about the racial dynamics of Spain because I’m prone to thinking about race. I am using my personal experience, the colonialist history of Spain, and general racial studies to unpack the dynamics here. I think that you have an unnatural allegiance to ignorance so this isn’t the page for you.
@@mayasvalentine that’s fine for you to believe but probably supports my argument more😂 it wasn’t a pass at you or your page but seems you’ve made it personal Wish you all the best anyway x
White females are the beautiful RACE FACT.... BLK females Men told US what they Like but BLK females Refuse to Listen. White MENS females look like what their Men Said they want!!! BLK females refuse to listen to their MEN ok ... GO queens LoL BLK MEN don't want US I understand 😮😢
Thanks for making this video. I'm Black & am on anxiety meds and have been in therapy for 3 years but have been feeling depressive thoughts for a few months. So this helps me weigh my options on if I should go on then
Yes and you can always dm me if you need any support. It’s such a hard decision but for me it was so necessary. I look back on my life without meds and I was just completely chaotic 😂😭 but I’m a lot more level headed now
@@mayasvalentine yeah I’m black and it wasn’t helpful dear. I was looking at it so I could get more information of what it would be like in Barcelona. instead I just saw a lot of food and a lot of selfies and people talking. A guide is instruction for people to review in order to participate in an activity, care for someone/something, or travel to a location..
Thanks for making this video I'm thinking of moving to Barcelona, I've been there before,I think like most big cities , the city centre is more diverse and the outskirts are weird and not so diverse!
Thank you for sharing your story! I was prescribed the same medication and have been undergoing a deep dive as I’m kind of scared to start. Stories like this help keep me hopeful. Your bravery is amazing! I hope things are still improving for you!
The way you checked these dumb comments!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I need to watch more of your videos. Im in the UK so its considered strange that I have not been to Spain. Going just to tick it of my list.
@@mayasvalentine Hello Hope all is well and you all are enjoying your new place. I wanted to know can you make a video regarding you guys experiencing with Lexapro, if you experience any side effects, did it help etc? Thanks so much ❤❤
I have lived in Barcelona before and traveled there many times, and I have never experienced anything negative or perceived racism. The only 2 incidents that I had were with people from Latin America, not actual Spanish people from Spain. I feel it's completely irresponsible to visit one city in Spain and snatch away other Black women's/people's sovereignty by telling them where they should or shouldn't go based in ones extremely limited experience. For contrast, I absolutely LOVE Spain, was in Barcelona AND Andalusia this summer for a month and had a FANTASTIC time. My experience doesn't erase anyone's negative experience....however I realize that what some Black people consider racism, may not be racist to me or other Black people. I'll be honest, nothing in this video I heard sounded like racism to me, but just seems like the young woman was already a bit on edge and expecting negativity, and the place just wasn't her vibe. A place not being your vibe doesn't equal racism. I am making this comment for BW who want to travel to Spain, but want a contrasting view point. I know a few BW who live in Spain (various ages) and LOVE it! So Black women.....be FREE to have your OWN experience, and know that your experience may not ( and likely WILL NOT) be her experience.
Based on this comment I truly don't think you understand the intricacies of racism which tells me you aren't even able to assess your own experience with a critical lens, so you're in no position to tell Black women if they will be treated poorly here. As a Black American woman I have had to experience racism so closely my entire life, so if I'm picking up on something being racist it is and it's really not for you to have an opinion on. I'd recommend you reading up more about racism so you aren't constantly putting yourself into vulnerable and dangerous positions because you don't racism is a possibility. Anyone with a brain knows to take my experience and form their own opinion. There are so many other videos with positive experiences about Spain so idk why you commented on mine. Ms. Spain over here wanted attention so let me give it to you.
Or maybe I understand that Black people aren't a monolith. Maybe I don't find purpose or pleasure in robbing other Black people of their autonomy, freedom, or sovereignty to make choices for themselves and travel freely to whatever country they choose to by telling them they SHOULD NOT travel to a particular country because I had a certain experience there. Maybe I understand that whatever experience a Black person has during their travels is their own unique experience, good or bad, and doesn't determine the experience I will have in the same location. I guess you think you read me, but you just further confirmed the fact that you believe all Black people have to think like you, and if they don't, their point of view is mute.@@mayasvalentine
So what if you had a good time. This is not your video. This is her experience as she is allowed to say she would not recommend Barcelona. Don't you know how reviews work? And if you don't think being compared to gorillas is racist, do you! 🤡 Your comment is so strange I honestly think you're a blackfish account. Either way it's sad.
Why not give Cheerleading another try in College (or another area) if you decide in the future. They have to cut off those restrictions from Cheerleading as it's several years outdated.
If you have to numb your feet to wear heels, STOP FUCKING WEARING THEM! Why would I want to walk around not feeling my damn feet. That's more uncomfortable
I wear heels at work. I agree, I'm not numbing my feet. If the shoes can't make it through a shift, they're not right for my feet. When the numbness fades, I'm sure you'll still feel the pain (unless you use an excessive amount of spray) and your feet will probably be swollen.
@@mayasvalentine No, you women are just full of it. Most women aren't held accountable for their homosexual behavior. We're seeing more women kissing on each other and calling other women girl crush than women loving men. And still call themselves straight 🤦🏾♂️
You two are so cute. Love how y'all are so practical in love too! Beyond the emotion you HAVE to like your partner as a person and have all those other things for real. It reminds me of my very healthy and loving relationship I had myself. and ugh, lesbian couple friends sound so comforting. 🎶 Black and gay 🎶
Omg the sisters thing is spot on! My girlfriend & i constantly get asked if were sisters we just go along with it 😂tired of ssying no ahah i love that, were just black lesbians😂😂
I feel better on meds, but my mom always made me feel i was taking them for no reason. I just needed to "get out more". And for awhile i believed that. Until i got tired of feeling depressed EVERYDAY. No amount of sunlight or family outings can make it go away. Its just there. And no one in my family understands that. My mom always made sure i had therapists, but i didnt get any understanding from her. I just decided to do what works. I need meds 🤷🏽♀️
Who are men on these dating shows? If they are white men, no woman who isn't white or asian. really stands a chance; well....actually they do, but it's unlikely. White and asian women are white men's overwhelming preference and vice versa. That's just the way it is. COLD HARD FACTS.
