Hi, I'm Dan "Artosis" Stemkoski, the Professional Commentator and Analyst. On this channel, I'll be uploading a new Cast of a Pro Game every day! I hope you enjoy :) Please subscribe!
The passion artosis has for this game and his ability to point out exciting nuances that would normally be missed is why he's the greatest commentator of all time
Motive is quickly becoming my favorite Protoss player, and he absolutely seems like he fits the Artosis protoss rant, supermodel, probably spends all day at the beach, everyone likes him, tons of friends, wins at the stock market, comes back and beats T and Z. How many tank tops do you think he owns?
9:15 i love this. Recently watching FPvods i've seen the trend continue towards "if you scout no hydra bust before you finish your corsair, go second stargate" This however, is not that. instead, the scrappiness of the early game resulted in motive being able to increment out this number of corsairs out of one stargate instead. The idea is similar however. zealot speed, and stay on the attack with zealot/corsair and a DT mixed in here and there, and control the sky and the game. Starting to think that zerg simply should go 3 hatch hydra and at least go for the kill of the wall. this zealot/corsair attack seems to be a game that's very good for protoss. Zerg probably prefers to play the 3 hatch, den, 7 hydras, range, and kill the wall, back off, drone up and lair. That situation has been found to be fairly equalish, but zerg maintains the initiative and prevents protoss from committing to this many corsairs, and the game continues.
Arty you are such a great commentator for this game, I was watching some of your old blizzcon commentaries , it’s great back then but you have also evolved ! Thanks for the casts!
I think Motive cleared the scourge swarm with psi storms? It's hard to tell exactly what was going on with just the minimap but you can see the red clusters just get smashed.
The CNSL season has been so good. Going to be sad when it’s finally over, but these games have been very good. Some of the best games I’ve seen this year have been in cnsl.
I dont understand why zergs dont like spores to protect their overlord, overload is 100 each, how much you can loss by make 2-3 spores under the overlords
I think it's because they're kinda expensive, 125 minerals, slow to make, and zerg in general doesn't get the same worker count as Terran or protoss, and of course you end up losing workers to make buildings it slows down your economy even more? Usually hydras under the overlords + scourge seem to repel corsairs in the early mid game but I think Miso was too aggressive and motive's micro was just too good. Not to mention he was still macroing like crazy during all that.
Hey you wanted comments on the video quality so here goes one: yesterday's was poor quality and today is HD (at least for me), so if your testing different settings stick to what you have today. Matches and casting top-notch as always. Keep up the good work!
Are you sure about that? My internet is unstable, so YT reduces the resolution automatically and I have to manually set it to max. Maybe you're having the same issue.
Do you know how much more work that would require for Arty to do that? It's more of an absurd request than you realize. Also, screw that. Arty's BW casting is much better when he isn't being hamstrung by Tasteless. If he paired up with Nyoken or Gypsy, THAT would be cool. Just my opinion of course.
As opposed to every zerg ever doing 3 hatch hydra every single game against protoss and frequently winning, lol. Miso played really well but the goal is to win, and motive played better.
It doesn't, the unit has the be detected first, otherwise that would be broken as hell. And mutalisks don't do "splash" damage per se (like say, a siege mode siege tank shot, spider mine hits, archon, valkyrie, & corsair's attacks), it just bounces off to two more targets with reduced damage per bounce.
