@dandan.tennis I currently stringed it with Wilson Power (natural gut) and Head Multifillament (MLT) at 24/23kg. I have had some elbow issues since January when I played with the Gravity MP, so I decided to go for natural guts. I am very surprised of this combination so far (power + lack of pain + control). The one thing my trainer says I need to focus on is the top-spin.. my shots are a bit flat. Except for the Gravity MP (2023) and Prestige Tour (2021), I also have Extreme Tour (2022), Speed Pro (2024) and about 7-8 other Heads :))) older than 2015.. so after playing for 3 years until now, I can definitely say the Prestige MP offers the best combination between power/control/slice/.. Hopefully I will add topspin to it :) I am right handed and got one-handed backhand

@@cekinekshn smaller headsizes give more control and are good on flatter playstyles (Del Potro, Djokovic, Murray, Medvedev). Sense of the racquet in the hand is improved (you have better connection with the ball). So in my case - i play better backhands and dont do as many mistakes on forehands. @@dandan.tennis yes I all know that but this type of racket doesn't give you anything for free. Have you played with it against some heavy hitters in a real match? Not baseline practice when you hit through the middle. I mean, I watched your videos and your shots are far from being flat. You play with topspin. Especially on forehand Thicker beam and 100sq inch frame will you just more. Also, a stiffer frame not butter soft like prestige. If Alcaraz or Sinner can play with modern 98 and modern 100 then we also can. And we should be able to control it. Prestige is for old school heavy hitters. And even they sometime move to Babolat Pure Drive because it just gives so much more for free. Andy Murray moved from old Head PT57A to modern tweener racket Ezone 100 (not even pro stock Ezone).
@dandan.tennis
@dandan.tennis 9 дней назад
@@cekinekshn Andy Murray didnt improve his results so his switch for now is more like a fun-fact rather than a direction to follow. (Before this tournament of racquets my main frame was a 95” anyway). Despite me hitting higher above the net (i agree with your observation) my visualisation of the strokes is more through the ball and its a bit easier with 95”. With 100” i start hitting out Unless its a gravity or speed or Percept. 98 is a happy sweet spot and I do enjoy many frames that are 98. Btw prestige tour (95) is more forgiving than a prestige pro (98). This is not my final pick but we will find out soon how far i can go with it. Being competitive is my main goal so of course maybe i will lack something with a more demanding frame. Usually its a balance of many things. I dont have to hit very hard. I must be consistent and smart with ball placement first. What are your top 3 frames? :)

I am now using confidential full bed 53lbs, i had tour bite soft on tbe mains at first but string bed is way too soft and felt muted. I also added total of 5-6 grams to 3.5-9.5 and 12. Now I get the punch I like for my winners. Didn't have enough plough before, definitely benifits from head heavier balance. Unfortunately not enough control for advanced players, should have slightly thinner beam. Much better racket for intermediate players can develop shots with this racket rather than trying to tweak what's already good.
@dandan.tennis

@@dandan.tennis I’m of mindset that I won’t know if another raquet is better for me unless I try it. If the SW of GP was a bit lower (even if they went to 99 sq in) , it may be perfect for me. As it is I love it. But playing with the Boom Pro and Blade 98 sometimes is just great. Both are a close 2nd to the Gravity. Decisions.

Great review! Maybe your best yet. I play this frame and you describe its every aspect beautifully. It’s not unforgiving or underpowered, but if you’re looking for a forgiving power frame, look elsewhere. This is for more advanced players who want a frame that forces them to play better. And when you do (play better), oh, what a feeling!

Volkl Classic Syn Gut at 54/51#. Neither sexy, nor painful. Besides I don't need poly; I get more spin from forearm pronation!

They are very very similar. The 360+ prestige pro is the same as the auxetic prestige tour. The name difference apart they play very very similar. The auxetic is not a big difference and I cannot even feel it most times. The connection and feel is top notch.

not much, a bit more solid/uniform in feel. more "focused". Performance to me is pretty much the same (not worth the money), just tweaking the feel (actually might be worth here)

My journey to land on the perfect TF40 315 16*19: Moved from very power oriented racquet (hard time speeding up my swing) to Pro Staff 97 (incredible feel but sweet spot too small) to Head Speed MP (enjoyed the free power, but launched too many shots and racquet felt light) to TF40. The feel is incredible. I can speed up my swing and still control the ball. Opponents comment that my shot is heavy. Serve like a dream whether kick, slice or flat. Keep the wrist loose and you will be rewarded.

Cześć, jakbyś porównał TF 40 18x20 do T fight 305 ?? Power-spin-control zakładam że feel porównywalny.
@dandan.tennis
@dandan.tennis 2 месяца назад
