Omggg! After seeing this it makes me feel not guilty on doing so! I listen to my body but end up feeling guilty and underachieved! Let’s normalise this🤍🤍🤍
Alternatively, you can do what my bf does and have your 5 year old sit on your back while you do pushups 😂 heavier than the plate, but good training for when their little feet get tired and you have to carry them
I think what is often more important than total time spent is what you're doing in that time. This will obviously vary based on your goals, too. Not everyone is training to be an elite athlete or a body builder and that's ok.
This mindset can definitely escalate into frantically trying to fill every waking moment of yiur days with something valuable or productive. So id say be aware of your limits and try to honor them
Hi! I just wanted to thank you for your encouraging videos. I also have a question. I don’t think I’ve been eating enough to past few days. I wasn’t skipping meals, they just weren’t as big as they should have been. Last night, my face felt really hot and my stomach felt really weird. My mouth was watering so much I couldn’t get it to stop. I got up, changed into cooler clothes, and drank water. The water just made it worse so I ate a couple almonds. It felt good to eat as I was eating, but as soon as I swallowed I felt the same as before. I went to sleep and felt fine the next morning until I drank water and my stomach hurt again. I ate well rounded meals the entire day today and feel better, but I’m really confused about what was happening. Was I just not getting enough calories? Thank you for reading all of that. If you have any advice please let me know!
I do this but I eat the healthy food and a cookie for dessert. I prefer the pure cookie flavour but recognise I need other foods. My lunch is regularly a boringish salad with e.g. a crumpet and butter for "dessert"
I love this! I’m only 36 but I don’t lift weights and don’t feel like I know how to start. I’m postpartum with my second child and have definitely lost a lot of strength and flexibility. Any tips on getting started?
KISS, Keep It Simple (stupid). A handful of exercises covering the basics, like an upper body push & pull (eg pushups and rows) and a lower body exercise like a squat
Hi PT here. Congratulations on baby number 2, that’s so exciting. If I can offer any advice: 1. Get clearance from your health care professional that your body is healed enough to start exercising 2. Find a personal trainer that has knowledge around returning training post pregnancy. They will be able to guide you. Or, if a PT is a bit out of the budget at the moment, the SWEAT app has programs specifically for post pregnancy
One of my main concerns with lifting weights (especially high weight, low reps) is with my joint issues, especially with how often my wrists subluxate in day to day life. Do you know whether high reps still increases bone density and joint stability?
Yes, any amount of strength training and load helps! If you look up this DOI for a research paper, doi: 10.23736/S0022-4707.16.05697-8, you will see a study proving low weight high repetition exercise increases bone density.
The whole time pup just staring at the food. 😂❤ But i love this idea, I'm a huge breakfast person but yeah like when I work theirs no way and then I end up ordering at work so this is a great idea!!
My unhealthy choices are usually practical hunger. I don't crave anything or want to cook, but I need calories so I just pick something high in fat to keep up my energy. Picking something sweet will sometimes help me crave food later.
Looks delicious! Also nice to see you fitness influencers eating something normal! Still lots of good veggies in there and moderation is key for everything else.
That looks delicious! I just wanted to thank you for all of the positive content you post. I’m a teenage girl who has body image issues and your channel has really helped me feel a little bit better about myself. I’m now eating 3 full meals a day and have reached a near healthy weight. Tysm❤
YESSSSS!!!!! AMEN SISTER!!! this whole planning according to your cycle thing is putting a lot of pressure on me. As someone who is trying to even just start exercising, I struggle to work out full stop!
I try to push myself that bit more on days I have more energy and just do something on days I have less energy. My period does affect things but so do other factors such as work and day to day things so I try to make effort when I can 😊
