I know I’m late to the party on this, but I bought this pallet and I absolutely freaking love it! Right now my conundrum is whether Iwant to buy Lightwork V1!!! After I watch this, I’m going to check to see if you made a video on that pallet as well ❤
I’m on my third time watching this since you posted originally. No one and I mean no one can do an entire swatch video like you. This is sooooo detailed and so in depth.
this is a great video - thank you for being so thorough in every aspect of it! i’m coming late to this palette and would have never known there was this much undisclosed overlap 😒 thankfully i don’t own these other palettes, so this will be a gorgeous, safe investment. i’ll be looking at your other videos!!
I don’t understand the issue what is i.e. for if not for this exact type of situation they’re an indie brand a small business… they make eyeshadow and sell eyeshadow not the art on the box
I know this video is super old, but I just wanted to say that I finally tried this palette and everything you said about it is absolutely true! I was really skeptical about this brand but I am super impressed with this palette and the other one I got (pastel garden). You’re right, the color story is so well curated, the undertones go super well together and everything in the palette is there for a reason. In this time of so many releases, it’s awesome to see an indie brand put out a well thought out palette like this one, when so many feel like a bunch of random colors that look nice together but don’t blend well into one another in practice. Thanks so much for putting me onto this brand!
I am hoping to see your impression comparing this brand with Clionadh’s new Oceano as well as their reformulated Archeo and Paleo palettes they released earlier this month. I wish there was a way to know whether you still had the original Archeo and Paleo palettes released 6 years ago as I still have my 2 sets (bought a back up of the both as I loved the color stories, formulas, and sleekness of those palettes 6 years ago)
I know it took you days to at least mentally pull all the different palettes to compare the shades’ opacity, tones, base pigments’ effects on the different chrome shadows! And I appreciate the accuracy of your comparisons and your 3 looks per palette so I can continue to explain to hubby why this next palette was essential to my collection as the combination of all your data proved the palette was TRULY unique 😅
Hi. Just stumbled across your video while looking for some tutorials with what’s up beauty Dragon Pakette. I recently bought mine, not because I was on the fence about buying it. Rather, they were sold out and it took awhile to receive it, and it has been worth the wait. It’s my first What’s Up Beauty palette. I adore it and will continue getting a lot of use of it. I appreciated your close up eye shadow tutorial.
As a dark skinned lady, a lot of the more muted shades, cool tones and neutrals aren't worth it since they just don't pop. They look nice but in a drugstore palette way, not in a dither over my cart for a month and pay for shipping kind of way. However, when you say a shade it too much for you, it's the one I go for! Works great! Please keep mentioning when it's too intense because it's very helpful for us dark ladies. Love that you're so honest about what you like and why you like it and always so respectful of that fact that everyone likes different things. Keep up the good work.
Girl. Your videos are so well done I have a hard time watching any other swatch parties. I'm trying to give some of the new swatch girlies a chance because I'm always looking for dark skin swatchers, but omigod. I'm yelling at the screen like " you didnt even mention the color!! Little girl, go sit down somewhere" 😆Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skill. You are truly next level.
I looooooooove Phytosurgence!!! The best use case with the highlighter is to put it on before base products! I put my primer on and then the highlighter followed by my other face products. OR I put on my foundation/skin tint then the highlighter, and then my color cosmetics. It still comes through and makes everything look blurred and diffused. I also like using it to set my concealer under my eyes, since my skin is super dry. And the bronzer is maybe my favorite product of theirs!! It’s very similar in texture to the highlighter, but a little bit easier to work with. I’m extremely muted, cool, and fair so bronzer has been a difficult product for me to use in the past. Phyto’s bronzer solves my struggle completely. I’d definitely recommend the more golden color for olive skin tones as the pink is quite pink. Like a slightly more bronze version of condensate imo. Loved the video!
Ohhhh. Myyyyy. Goooooooiiiiiiddd. 😍😍😍😍😍 uhh, would you say that this palette would be a good beginner palette for someone dipping their toes into the indie eyeshadow game?? It’s me. I’m the beginner. 😅😂
I own this palette. I bought 2 because I loved it so much. The sparkly colors are amazing but they definitely work best with your finger. I received so many compliments from looks that I created with this Dragon palette. Packaging is pretty cool too.
Thank you so much for this detailed review! It was YOUR video that made me buy this palette tbh. I already have some Clionadh singles and Deep Sea palette, but seeing these comparisons... Gosh, I NEEDED THIS!
Butterfly Bush is the common name for a non-native plant called Buddleia. Google it, it’s a pretty dark purple flower. Not the best thing to plant because it can be invasive. This palette actually had several flower names so I don’t think that shade was meant to have a double meaning. I saw this on another video for the Lands of Enchantment palette. The shade was Starseed and the person was saying it sounded dirty. This is actually a new age thing where some people believe they come from another planet, sometimes through reincarnation, and they are on a special mission to help “awaken” humanity. Now if it was a Jeffrey Star or Nars product, I would definitely be looking for the double entendre! 😂
