Every time I think my Indie shadow collection is finally complete and there isn't any combination of shades I could ever possibly want for, salivate over, or remotely need, Ensley Reign releases a new palette. 😂😂😂 This is just stunning...I'm in LOVE, again. 😁

That sucks they used AI art. Imagine if they paid a small artist to actually make a custom piece rather than using software that steals from real artists. Seems hypocritical for an artistic indie brand

I don't understand why ND tries to play and tell us that her multichromes are multichromes, get out of here. Anyone who has ever bought from ANY indie brand knows better. I just don't understand why, with all the money brands like ND have, they can't give us a real multichrome(s)? No excuses, lol. ❤ Love all the colorful blues and silvers!

Totally agree and I'm even new to both ND and Indie and can tell the difference. And as much as I love those brands like PMG, her multichromes or duochromes are always a muddy burgandy/green...nothing new or exciting. Now THIS is my palette. I LOVE cool tones so can't wait to play with it!

I haven’t watched her video about ai art, but I will. That said, on the strictest surface, this issue sounds to me like all industries that are very rapidly replacing humans with technology. The problem is humans still need work, in order to eat, house, clothe ourselves… very scary for sure. Like I said, I am making a pure assumption based on my first thought after hearing there is an issue.

I do like the comparisons. Even if they aren’t like shade for shade dupes, it’s helpful for those of us that try to keep edited collections. I may really dig the vibes of something so it’s helpful that I can step back and see I might already have it in my collection. Thanks for the extra step 😊 Bit also, I so am getting this pallet. I am on the fence with this one ! Of course I want it but I just bought 5 pallets in the last 1.5 months , starting with the plouise mikayla pallet, then the adept element 115, then cosmic brushes winter wonderland, then the ensleyreign lands of enchantment , and finally the simplyposh Aurora lights . I don’t usually buy so many pallets back to back but these are all right within my dream pallet color stories , they were all too good to pass up . I want this one but I’m going to have to really really want it . More research needed still 😂

Yep, you sold me😂 This brand is not one I have really cared about, I’ve had no problem staying away from them so far even though their palettes are stunning. This one is so beautiful, I don’t want to skip this lol! I’ve been wanting more neutral palettes or singles in my indie collection since the majority of my neutrals are old and from mainstream brands that aren’t my preference anymore so I don’t really use them much. This is so pretty and I love your swatches! Thank you for another great video, your content always helps me decide if I actually want something or if I’m just like “ooooh sparkly” haha. I tried to give myself a few weeks before buying stuff to make sure that I really do want it (most of the time I’m able to pass but the excitement for this hasn’t died down yet lol) and yeah I’m gonna definitely try to add this to my collection sometime soon! @@seekingshifts the AI art is the only thing that absolutely does not match the unique beauty of the shadows, they definitely should change that. There are so many artists out there that create art showing the devic kingdom. Completely contradictory to use artificial intelligence with nature spirits as a theme…no bueno🐾

Wow! This palette is amazing!! Its a stunning colorstory! I also love how you showed all the comparisons with the Natasha Denona, Huda, and Pat McGrath palette along with your indie duoes for multichromes. Since Natashas palettes can be rearranged, it would be amazing to see a BYOP to dupe this Cold Moon palette out. I may try that. I have alot of Devinah, and Adept multichromes i could possibly come up with something very similar. If i could just find the same pan size to ND midi palettes to repress shades🤔 overall this is gorgeous! Love your looks you created as well! Absolutely beautiful!

Lovely video, I am always attracted to ER color stories, but I just struggle with their brand ethos overall. Maybe I’m not thinking of this right, but using a code for me is a way to nod my thanks to a specific creator, it’s not always a way to get a better price. While I love supporting my favorite creators I don’t want to HAVE to factor that into the price (I know it doesn’t 🤭). Your swatches and comparisons are lovely. Thank you for the work!

Thank you!! ❤️ Almost all of the brushes I’m using are from the Blend Bunny blending brush set! Honestly if you don’t have it I HIGHLY recommend, I am actually thinking of buying a second set. The only other brush I used was the large pencil brush, Rephr 26 :)

Thank you!! This is definitely on the high end in terms of prices for indie palettes. I believe it has a lot to do with the amount of multichromes and “special” shades in there. I have done the math and if you look at it in terms of price per shade, it’s it’s in line with other brands. With that being said, there are palettes that have less “special” shades or shades in general and are at a much lower price point!

It's a really beautiful colourstory and I love Khion and Saturnalia. This is sooo my vibe, but price and use of AI art mean I cannot buy this. I watched Ivy's video and glad to see more content creators talking about this. There are even *worse* aspects to AI art that I am not sure is to be appropriate to explain in a youtube comment. It is that amount of bad.

At time I posted that comment, approx a week before, it was discovered that the datasets used to train most common AI art models used images scraped from all over Internet and that includes... extremely awful and illegal ones.

As I have Natasha Denona Glam I already have most of the mattes. The shimmers are gorgeous, but I would never use a holo shade (I think the holo particles are too risky for my dry and sensitive eyes).

Thank you for your in depth review and examples of this palette. I am also a digital and traditional artist. People who used AI has plagiarized and stolen many renditions my friends and acquaintances. Four of my friends had their artwork rendered by AI users and resold on Etsy merchandise. The AI users lied on their etsy profile claiming that they hand drawn the art works and its just a coincidence that my friend's artwork looked similar. I will skip the Ensley Reign palettes entirely. I don't want to support to support AI users.

This palette looks beautiful, but it’s not for me because I would only use half of it. I wouldn’t use the grey leaning mattes and the holochromes. Don’t love it on me. I do want to try einsley reign but I’ll have to wait for a color story that is 100% me. Edit: I can’t believe INAN is so much warmer than cold moon, because that one already looks pretty gray on me lol

I thought this palette looked more similar to the Retro glam, but maybe that's just the lighting as I don't think it has that many sage greens. Inb4 people realize that you can make holochromes by mixing a holo pigment and any multichrome you have. Also AI art sucks, because all it does it steal the work of true artists.

I’m honestly the wrong person to ask because I love these tones and am more likely to look for small differences because of it 🤣 if it was a palette full of oranges or yellows or something I’d prob say they are all too similar but these mauvey cool tones are my weakness

Fantastic video! I also watched Ivy's video on this. And, as an artist who was formerly self-employed selling my art and who has been stolen from many times, I cannot in good faith support any brand that uses AI for their final product designs. Being an artist is hard enough, often you barely make enough to survive. And using AI art is not only stealing from existing artists who are out there, it also costs one artist a potential paid job. I don't think this use of AI art is ethical when they profit off the design like that. And even though I love Ensley Reign's palettes and this one is so me, I cannot support ER any longer 💔 To add to that, it makes my artist heart incredibly sad to see people get excited about this palette and not caring about the AI issue. Lands of enchantment is more pastel cool tones, this one is more mauvey neutral adjacent tones! I can swatch side by side on my IG stories if you follow me there

they want to charge nearly £40 to ship this to the uk. that doesn't include tax and duty, so the whole thing would cost over £150 for me. Ludicrous.

I have a question. I just got a palette today and all the mattes are fine but every single shimmer is loose and broken . I can press them down I’m sure but I kind of wish I didn’t have to . Is it rude of me to report it as damaged ? It’s an indie brand so I feel extra guilty

Do not feel guilty! You paid your hard earned money for a product and you should receive it in tact. I would definitely reach out to customer service 🫶

Definitely report it as damaged! I ordered two singles and one came a bit smashed up, so I contacted customer service and they were more than happy to help me file a claim with their shipping protection service (Route) for a replacement. Route was also super quick to help and covered a replacement as soon as I sent images of the damage.

Was it you who apologized for having a scratch on your arm? Someone did and I was going to comment that I always have so many cuts and scratches and bruises because I work freight and I’ve almost said something in the caption about 😂

It’s a little strange hearing you talk on here . I’m used to your posts on instagram and it’s always fun to put a face / voice to the name but it’s a little like watching a movie after you’ve read a book 😂 you have a character in your head , then they are totally different than you had imagined .

as stunning as the palette is, i couldn’t help but notice the ai generated “art”… the single, dead looking eye really gave it away (as well as some other things). i cannot bring myself to support a brand that uses ai to avoid commissioning artists. it’s theft. i hope i’ll be able to find another palette similar to this elsewhere :(

you have NO IDEA how badly i knew i needed this palette when i first saw it, and i hadn’t been able to watch your review because i was in the icu for a couple weeks, but i got home an hour before launch, and FINALLY purchased my first ensley reign palette and a few of the single shadows. i reallllly wanted to get the entire collection, but it’s soooo PRICEY, so i got what i could. there were some loose shadows that i wanted to pick up, but i hope to get them and the 2 other singles i wanted sometime in the future. thank you so much for adding that info at the end of the video about the entire AI thing, and i hope they listen and don’t continue to do this in the future. i’m going to go and watch the creator’s video right now. riley, can you please post looks using nordic breeze, moonlit frost, and frozen halo singles??? please and thank you for creating such amazing, in depth videos, and i can’t put into words how appreciative i am for all the work that you put into your videos. 🤍🤍🤍
