I had a problem with the left thumb releasing on time, so i had to fish the reel down with releasing the spool with my right thumb... I tried those thumb things etc but my thumb doesn't have the proper timing I can't get the distance i think im capable of.... Obviously I'm doing something wrong I enjoy your videos
Definitely without level winders! Jist to learn the art of winding line on smoothly left to right by hand. If its eratic or lumpy this can cause crackoffs next cast
This has been on my list for a while now …… hear lots of people saying they cast ‘at range’ when fishing 🙈🙈 a rollover cast 7oz and bait will be interesting 🙈🙈🤣
Thanks for Sharing. I've been doing some overhead thumps myself so it's been interesting to see what kind of distance you can get in a real world situation.
Good to see you back out casting, love your pendulum casting vids im gonna get back into pendulum casting again my best over grass was 246 yards in the mid 90s.
Always good to see you out and about. The overhead thump is always my go to cast when im actually fishing. Similar distances to you, can't say the same with the pendulum, muscle memory takes over 🤦♂️🤦♂️😂😂
I thought it would have gone further. Havent used it enough to know how free can run with mag. Maybe do pendulums on them all next. Just a quick vid to get back into it cheers.
Looks spot on to me ...l know why you don't full pendulum any more...your style is about spped and keeping the lead low the ground like OTG casting.... Love your fishing cast when you on rough ground. Cheers matt.
I saw you in Wills chat- i live in the states, on the Outer Banks NC- and surf fish all the time. Do you use a Shock Leader ? If so what pound test? Thanx - We use 50lb.shock leader,17lb. test line, with 8oz.weight, slip swivel,(fish finder,or Stinger rigs) 90gram wire leader(i think you guys call them "Trace" ) Nice casting,i like looking at different techniques, and see how ya swing the weight.
A good casting video i like your casting with the century Eliminator rod you can here the multiplier reel screaming as the line comes of the spool. It must have taken you a long time to learn to cast with the rod and reel you are fishing with because lot's of people get bird's nest 🪹 thanks for your fishing video very best wishes from Mr Ben Golby 👌 👍
