Sometimes in this video I refer to a cast as 'decent'. What I really mean is of a high standard. I always like to encourage people when casting, and maybe when I say a 240m cast is decent perhaps it is discouraging to some. I am basing it off my own standard of casting.
In reality a decent cast is anywhere from 130yards+ which is more than the typical shore angler with a beach rod can achieve.
It is a fact of life some people may never achieve 240m but EVERYONE with a little help can usually add a good chunk of distance to their own cast.
I still believe that 200 yards (with a plain 125/150g lead) is a reasonable target that most can achieve if they put some time in at a club or with an instructor.
