What’s everyone think. Going from a concert to a plane then home. Then up to go to physical therapy. A man his age. Sounds like a blood clot to me. We know it’s not drugs. Aneurism or massive heart attack the way his wife described it. Him just keeling over. Hope it was painless and we know his place in Rock and Roll heaven is reserved. Couldn’t ask for a classier rock star. Him Billie and Frank are #1 in my book.
Like like like like Three guys doing all that? And in time? And with funky bass? And with a guitar legend? And with good singing? 50 years seems RIGHT.
Saw them in'72 '73 opening for Uriah Heep, first up was Earth,Wind, and Fire then ZZ,then Heep.Uriah Heep moved them to opening up before EWF.Before firing them all together.
Yeh Bob...that's yer typical American douchebag audience...coming on...pretending to be big mates with ya and "got" all your songs' "meaning"......doesn't antimatter.....they're your paying audiences who got you where you are today ....a well off primarily 60's icon..still churning out some reasonable listenable (but not important) bits of music......
Yeah nothing more thick and grittier! @Lorelei Perry talk about the old pics. I saw Billy in my city Texas City, Texas - The Moving Sidewalks circa '69. My song "Talking' 'Bout Billy" copyright 2003---> I heard that sound back in '69 I remember it now it was do fine He was shredding it up in my hometown Before his bass and his shave sat down. … … … It wasn't any sight that you've ever seen They had long sideburns n faded bluejeans.. The Moving Sidewalks were playing psychedelic surf music. Talk about evolving! Billy has this uncanny natural ability to morph into what works. He makes things happen. He's working now "Billy Gibbons and The BFG's- a cubano sound! They still use the same mic stands that they used in the 80's! We owe their "moves"to Paula Abdul! She was their choreographer. I know I jumped all over the place, but Great band. Great sound. Proud to say they are from Texas.
They play here in 80 and the stage changed colors as a light show during the onchour someone got too rowdy and threw firecrackers on stage. Im not sure they have been back or not. Man those guitars and drumming is wild. 👍 good concert bad crowd behavior.
