@@zakariazr8869 this is only to fix the "mute" issue. If the microphone pickup slider is stuck on 0.0 and people are having a hard time hearing you there's a lot of other suggestions in the comments. I would try changing it in the Windows Settings app (gear icon) instead of Control Panel. Also download the latest audio drivers from your manufacturer website, and also the latest Windows Updates and any other sound drivers for your system. You might also check if it can be adjusted in a specific application (such as Teams or Zoom), or within any manufacturer-specific audio settings tools. There's too many variables to list them all, but hope this helps. Good luck!
I'm pulling a 442 code on my 06 Canyon 4 cyl standard suspension. Theres absolutely no way to replace the purge valve from the wheel. There simply isnt enough space there to see most the the valve let alone get even one hand in there. On my truck, the vapor line from the cannister to the purge valve with the green cap on it, is down behind the wheel to the right and not up top by the oil dipstick. The smell of gas is driving me crazy though.
Yes, it is much more difficult to reach with the coil spring suspension as compared to the torsion bar suspension (like mine). Suggest removing the battery and try to get at it from above. Also check some of the other comments for suggestions. Good luck, let us know how to get it!
Lots of swivels and extensions. 😆 You can put a piece of tape on a swivel if it flops around too much. It may help to remove the air cleaner housing, as well. On some trucks the reservoirs are one molded piece, and other years the reservoirs are two separate pieces. Good luck!
The oil fumes make that "s" shaped pcv hose get soft and rotten over time, good to get one off Amazon and have on hand if that hose needs replaced, most parts stores don't have it, but can order one for twice the price, then wait a day or two for it. Nothing else will do. Not a bad job, overall.
Thanks! Yes, very good point about that hose. I don't recall if I mention it much in this old video, but I definitely discuss it in some of my more recent videos. Thanks for bringing it up here! ☺
Hello. Does the camera record without the lights being on? Say you drive the car once, lights never went on. Later, driving a little and putting it in park. Then the green light goes on. Does it record then?
@@cassiemescudi7583 hi! Not sure I understand the question. It sounds like you might have a wiring problem or a problem with the internal battery. If the camera is not powering on, then no - it is not recording.
Do You know what's the propper battery voltage for7480? I bought one without battery and when looking for new one I got confused finding both 11,4V and 7,6V advertised . some sellers have 11.4, others 7.6 for this particular model. Dell official website provides info about cell qty. and Wh capacity, but there's anything about the voltage. If that helps my mainboard is LA-132P rev. 1.0 (A00) with date 2017-05-12
Hi! Thanks for checking out my laptop repair videos. The Latitude 7480 (like most Dell laptops) had several battery options when spec'd new from the factory. This included a 42WHr 3-cell 11.4V battery, and a 60WHr 4-cell 7.6V battery. So either of these may be correct for your system. One easy way to check is by using the free program "HWMonitor", which can show you the size of your battery (scroll all the way to the bottom in this program). You may also be able to identify which battery you have in the system BIOS. Here's a link to Dell's tech spec page showing both options: www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/latitude-14-7480-laptop/latitude_7480_ownersmanual/battery-specifications?guid=guid-cbd1c4e4-1129-42b2-828d-57e8382d236d&lang=en-us One thing I would recommend is if you are changing the battery, put in the bigger one. You may need to adjust some wiring or brackets, I have another video that has some info on that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WCuP_5Xi5oY.html Hope this helps!
Have you ever tried to hookup a Smartboard to a wise terminal? We are having trouble with GX Smart boards. The touch doesn't work but it used to work on the older Smartboards.
Hi! Thanks for checking out my video. Afraid none of the businesses I support use Smartboards so I'm probably not going to be much help. Off-hand this sounds like a drivers issue. I would probably reach out to the manufacturer or look on their website to ensure you are using the latest software. If your terminals are centrally managed (can't install software on them independently) you may have to use some "tricks" to get it installed properly. Also check Device Manager to see if they are showing up, etc. I would probably verify that the Smartboard works correctly by hooking it up to a regular Windows PC, to ensure there's no issue with the hardware itself. Good luck, let us know if you get it sorted!
Thank you. Just picked up an 05 and I’m changing all the basic stuff. Did this right after changing the thermostat since they’re right next to each other.
Can you turn on refrigerator all the time while driving or parking? And how is the cooling? Thanks. Get a RV this afternoon, first time, exciting; thanks for the video.
Hi! Thanks for checking out my video. These are some of the most common questions. Yes, the fridge can run while driving. During your "departure" the sales person should set it to Auto (button on the front of the fridge) so it starts cooling. It will cool as long as you have either natural gas, the generator is running, or if you are hooked up to shoreline power. It does take about 4-6 hours to cool off (they're not as efficient as household refrigerators) and remember to not pack it too tightly. Air needs to be able to flow inside it to cool off. And don't stand there with the door open either, LOL. 😆 Regarding the cooling of the cabin itself, the front air conditioner works any time the vehicle is running. Just like a regular truck or van. The rooftop AC unit (for cooling the back of the vehicle) runs whenever the generator is running or if you are plugged into 30A shoreline power (like at a campsite). If you have people riding in the back you can turn on the generator to run the rooftop AC to cool the back while driving down the road. This isn't something we've ever need to do, but plenty of others have commented that it works fine. Just make sure to keep the window closed over that side of the vehicle -- you don't want exhaust from the generator blowing into the vehicle. Hope this helps! I do have a few newer videos also, including this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qbBoA0x5Fow.html Safe travels!
@@CompTechMike thanks for quick response, I heard the cooling rate and temperature are not comparable with regular refrigerator at home. Is that might be case? 😀
@@bunnyhandsome yes, that is correct. RV fridges are inherently not as efficient as normal household-style units. Like I suggested above: don't pack it too full (air needs to be able to circulate), and don't stand there with the door open. Also, it helps if the items you're putting inside are pre-cooled (like if you have them in your home fridge and carry them out and put in the RV fridge). Also, if you have the option when parking the vehicle, try to park the side with the fridge on the "more shady" side. Or under trees, etc.
i mean, it is if it's way underpowered to even load the operating system and mining software. 🤷 I noticed a lot more stability when we upgraded the RAM and CPU on this particular box.
@CompTechMike I suppose there's a good argument to be made there... I myself only know the basics of GPU Mining and never practiced it, I would really love tho, more for a hobby then anything since GPU mining is practically dead. When I got into crypto it was a much easier time due to ASIC's being widely available and basically a plug & play operation. If only GPU Rigs wasn't so darn expensive to build; even with prices nearly cut in half on hardware GPU's are so high it would make it a VERY EXPENSIVE hobby that im not sure I would even end up liking
I should have mentioned that some laptops allow you to remove the DVD drive and install a second battery in that space. This is typically older-model units (generally manufactured between 2008-2016), that have hot-swappable DVD drives. Pop out the drive, pop in a new battery. Very nice option, for those that support it. 😊
Hello again. I finally found the leak in the intake manifold. Do you know if the intake manifold plastic cover can be removed from intake manifold completely?
Hi! Yes, the plastic cover can be completely removed. Some of the bolts are tricky to reach but it's definitely possible. Removing the cover makes future problems easier to troubleshoot and repair, imo. Check out this thread. Especially the picture "naked intake": 😄 www.355nation.net/threads/intake-manifold-covers.38397/
@@CompTechMike Thank you for that reply. Maybe try and remove coverage fix leak by plastic welding or jb weld or something. If I can't fix then I will replace it.
On mine is 20 ft lb. That said, I haven't used a torque wrench on a diff cover since probably the 1980's. I do it pretty much by feel. It is not the specifics of the torque that is the issue, it is the the way it is done. I hand snug all bolts down, the I use cross patterns and snug them all down a little, and do it all over again, and again, till I have them all down to where I want them. I have never had a leak on a diff cover in 30 years.
It's been a few years since I recorded some of these videos. I've worked on many of this model laptop and they're all still doing great. I'm glad my laptop repair videos have helped so many people. For anyone just getting started I'd like to recommend this small toolkit: amzn.to/3yYHR0d It contains screwdriver tips of many different sizes (including the "pentalobe" needed for working on Apple/Mac hardware), plastic prying tools (for opening computer cases) and a handy box to store everything. Pretty cheap on Amazon. I've bought one for each of my offices and one for in the car / working on the road. Hope this helps!

Hi there. That silver cap thing clearly visible at 00:50 What is that exactly? I noticed it was not seated fully on my truck (and a bit loose when pushing it back in) and inside of it I can see a gear of some sort which looks to be dry. Wondering if I've lost some sort of fluid and if I should get this solved immediately.
Hi! I believe you're referring to this little piece? www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/acdelco/engine-parts---mounts/transmission---transaxle/transmission-parts/bell-housing-dust-inspection-cover/d337d1489606/acdelco-a-t-torque-converter-housing-plug/acd0/24205900 That's just an inspection cover. You can pry it out to inspect the back of the torque converter in automatic transmissions. Off-hand, it should be dry in there. If it were not it would mean one of the seals in your transmission was leaking. Hope this helps!
Hi James, thanks for the suggestion. This video is about six years old. In my newer ones I do try to show how to disconnect electrical connections, etc., when possible. Fortunately in the 1st gen Colorado / Canyon platform it is a pretty standard automotive-style connector. Pull out the "lock tab", then lift up and pull the connectors apart. I do talk about the connectors in the video; here's a link to a few pictures of the connector, as well. Hope this helps! imgur.com/a/KlaAyx1 (images hosted on Imgur)
Hi! It's been quite a few years but I believe I got most of my issues resolved by replacing the bulb sockets and redoing the grounds. Also check out some of the suggestions on this forum: blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-generation-s-series-1995-2005-tech-41/2001-headlights-not-working-46149 Safe travels!
I am so sorry I didn't hear about your illness, Roy, until quite recently, but I'm sure you can hear me anyway. Thank you so much for all you did for the hobby and for your fans. I was amazed you always answered my comments on your fantastic channel.. You were always a joy to everyone who had the privilege of meeting you. Your cheerful disposition and love of people and trains will love forever.
Thank you for the love. Your dad was a really special person, as I'm sure you knew. I'm also sure he was really grateful when you read the emails to him that people had sent.
I have a 2008 GMC Canyon and this is just starting to act up, but mine does nothing. The starter solenoid does not engage and turn the engine at all. I wait like 5-10 minutes and it starts right up. So, I'm still not sure which part is causing this! I wanna cut the wire anyway just in case and I may need a new starter solenoid.
Hi! Thanks for checking out my videos. It sounds like you are following the right process. If you turn the key and nothing happens (no clicks, no cranks, no dimming of lights, etc.) I would check your grounds, fuses, and also the lock cylinder mechanism itself. If the lights dim but you don't hear the starter engage, I'd check the solenoid (and the grounds again, including the large wires coming off the battery, and also voltage test the battery). If the starter engages and the motor turns over but doesn't start (for 10 minutes), then it's probably Passlock. That said, it's a troublesome system that's probably worth bypassing to see if it helps your situation. Good luck!
Hi Mike, Thanks for your video, it has already helped me a lot even though we didn’t start our trip yet 😁 One question from my side - as Cruise America does not provide child seats and we have to bring our own, do you know what kind of seat I should buy to be able to place it in Standard 25ft RV? I see that in the table area there are only lap seatbelts and the only seats I’m familiar with requires point belts or iso fix to be mounted. Thanks in advance!
Hi! Thanks for checking out my video. I'm glad it is helpful. We don't have kids so I've never installed a car seat, but check out this link to the Cruise America website: www.cruiseamerica.com/trip-inspiration/how-to-set-up-a-car-seat-rv-laws It mentions there is a "teather attachment" on the dinette seats for attaching a car seat. Maybe you can call them and ask for a better picture of how this works? Or stop by a local rental office? I do have an updated video here that might also be helpful to you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qbBoA0x5Fow.html If I ever make another video, will definitely try to include a picture of the "teather attachment". Thanks for the idea! 😊
Will be renting this one in a couple weeks. Thanks for the walk through! Just curious about the sound system, are there speakers in the dinette part behind the two front seats? We'll be travelling as a family of five. Curious if we can all listen to the music through the AUX cable.
Hi Alina! Thanks for checking out my video. These are pretty utilitarian vehicles, without a sound system in the back. No TV, etc. The ones with the Aux input can play music through a mobile device with a headphone jack. Newer vehicles have Bluetooth, to work with newer phones/tablets. But only play through the speakers in the front. I have a newer video that might be helpful, also: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qbBoA0x5Fow.html Safe travels!
Hello, I have the same exact pc that I got from my uncle. I tried putting a RX 550 low profile red dragon and it is not showing me any display, however when I plug into integrated it works with no problem. Do you know any fix?
Hi there! I would check the power supply requirements for that card. These systems are more than a decade old. It's possible the card is trying to pull more than the PSU can provide, or is defective. When I was using these machines we'd typically stick to LP cards like the R7 250 or Radeon HD 5570 or 6570. Those generally worked the best, in my experience. Hope this helps!
@@htxdb great! Glad to hear it was something simple. I try to never use adapters on my setups, if possible. Remember: every adapter is just another potential point of failure. 😄
I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado that is coming up with a P0171 error code. I believe the line where the green cap is is to be used for a vapor smoke test machine, for testing for any emissions leaks. If you remove the green cap, there is a screw that can be removed. After that a smoke test device can be connected there.
Great tip! ☺ Does your 2005 have this line also? I believe on 04-05 (possibly 06) it was the return line for an external fuel pressure regulator. 07 has the pressure regulator integrated with the pump, so my thought was this was a vestigial line left over from the external regulator years.
Condolences to you Mike and your family. I was sad to hear about Roy and before that, Leonor. RIP to both. Words can't say what we all feel but Strength to you all.
Hi Mike thanks for all the information, I have a question, the kits that the rental offers for sheets, pillows, towels and the kit of pots and pans and cutlery for cooking, seem extremely expensive for what they offer, is it worth it or is it better to look for the necessary in a Walmart before leaving? We will arrive from Italy so we do not have the possibility of bringing things from home. Thanks
Hi Xander! Good question. I guess the answer to that question is "it depends". If you have time along your trip to stop by Walmart (or a similar store) you can almost certainly pick up these items for cheaper. But then you need to determine what to do with them afterwards, etc. Another idea would be if you have friends in the states, maybe you have someone local you can borrow the items from? Personally if it were me I'd probably get the kit to save time. But if you have a couple extra hours to swing by a box store, you can certainly get the items for cheaper. Safe travels!
