We use mighty paw for our large part golden doodle/sheltie/Keeshond. It has a loop down low too! Great products. Our Aussie doodle pup uses a thinner nylon with a padded handle.
On your leash development I cannot stress enough about putting a easy but strong & reliable snap on it. I've ran into some that are almost impossible to operate especially as we get older! We have a 5 month old Aussie doodle & are enjoying him immensely but he has completely changed our home schedule.😉❤
Great information. In the process of deciding between a mini- aussidoodle, mini-golden or a York-poo. I think the Aussie-doodle would be a better choice, as I was told, they are a little bit faster to train, but not faster than the Yorki-poo. The York-poo may be little too small for me. I would be more nervous about their safety. Appreciate the feedback about herding dogs. I had a lab mix previously.
I feed my two Aussiedoodle Nutro dry with a 1/4 cup of Nutro wet at night. And Dr Marty’s as a topper. It costs about $200 a month or $100 each dog. Yes they are spoiled! 😅
Why are the tails not being docked? Aussies tails are docked as well as poodles. I have raised both breeds & would want the docked tail & not have to deal with the tail hair getting knotted
We got our Aussiedoodle 2 weeks ago. Oliver (Ollie) is either a ball of energy or a suddenly sleepy puppy. I nap when he naps. I intentionally chose a higher energy dog because as I approach 70, I know I need to spend less time sitting and more time moving and Ollie is proving his worth in that aspect. He is doing so well with potty training and already responds to a few words. His breeder really works hard with the pups before they go to their forever homes and she is careful to match each puppy to the suitable new owner. The original one we had our eye on was not the one we ended up with. Ollie is currently into herding and nipping but we're working on it. Other than that, he's been a joy!
Have a toy in your back pocket! When Jaxon would start to nip I would put the toy in his face. Over time, he developed the habit of nipping at toys rather than my ankles/hands
Hello! We are getting an aussiedoodle tomorrow! I was wondering what that treat mat sort of looking thing is called that was shown at 1:49? Looks so cool and would love to get one for my pup!
I, too, have a 3.5 yr old mini Aussiedoodle that’s about 35 lbs. Everything you guys mentioned here is exactly what I have personally experienced myself. I was a first time dog owner and didn’t know much about the breed before committing. It’s interesting how certain breeds come with identical traits from one dog to the next! My dog also had his tail docked and I didn’t even realized this until recently. In the beginning, everyone kept asking me if it was docked and I said no lol. I never got pet insurance. Luckily, I haven’t had to come in for anything serious yet aside from the annual shots and occasional wellness check when he’s not feeling well. It’s an expensive breed between the grooming, annual exams and monthly heartworm and flea/tick treatments, food, treats, toys, etc., it really adds up, so I opted out of this additional expense.
I have a little Sun Connure bird. She just about stays all day on my shoulder. Curious as can be. Hanging like a Finch from my blouse to see what I'm doing. 😂😂
Wat also helpt if you’re not gone too long is putting them in a small space that is darker, like a Carré with a blanket over in. Dogs get calm(er) in small spaces where thee can’t walk around. No longer than a max of 8 hours a day, And Thea Will need 2 hours of activity (physical and/or mental) after if if’s that long.
Lol yea be careful. I once bought a whole stash of expensive make up which I showed my dog. My lipstick, blush, creams. I left the case on my bed. Later I found all the stuff chewed up lol. My fault. She was just so cute so I couldnt be mad at her. I had to hide my make up.
