that fill into the first chorus was so simple but just complimented the track so well. in my opinion he was ahead of his time with his playing introducing chops and polyrhythms just made the whole vibe of any track he played so incredible.

Gavin is à phenomenon ❤️🫶🥁🥁👍👍🙏he’s the best drummer ever ! He’s got this special beat! 🤷👍 Sorry Mike! I almost liked your Style, but it is overtakened. Gavin vibes !
Make a difference…… Gavin you Are the best drummer on this Planet…..😮❤ so do judge If you have the Time what this Lady is performing…. Your friend Romain 🇱🇺🤷🙏👍
Gavin's dynamic range is one of the widest I've seen. He plays heavy or light and it'll sound like what he's always played; most of the time you can really tell if a drummer is playing outside of their normal dynamic range. Danny Carey (mind you, I love playing his stuff) is a good example of "rock drummer trying to play soft" when he plays quiet stuff. I don't really know of any inverse examples though.
Them quarters on the hats and ride are amazing and most drummers don't dial the essence of that in quite like Gavin does... plain and simply put HES A MACHINE
I'm assuming Gavin Harrison fans are familiar with Anesthetize. If you're not, it's amazing. I can listen to the first minute and 20 seconds of this 1,000 times without getting tired of it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6suv3mraIhw.html
Those people called “English people” who’s the hell they are !?? From where they come? They are not humans !! Way superior ..musically talking !!! Pro or amateurs .. each time you get a monster .. he’s from England !! What’s going on in this country ???
I love how he plays the little cymbals at 3:58. It's one of my favourite elements across all the versions of Sound of Muzak, and it's only in this version that he does this. (And the drumroll following that - it's a bit showy, but beautiful nonetheless!)
That little tom-tom-snare backbeat fill at 2:28 that matches the phrasing of Steven singing "Won-ders off" is so fucking tastful I just had to stop the video and post this before continuing. The man is truly a genius.
