Been missing your videos a lot recently! Hope you’re doing well, I’ve been dating a Christian man in the Canadian military too for just over a year, and would love some videos for Christian military marriages! It’s a lot when they deploy or travel for training for months at a time and I think that could be an amazing series!
Katie Emerson, if you ever come back to RU-vid or any of your handles, do you think some time you could post the titles and authors of the Christian romance novels you have? And like maybe do a ranking or something? I want to try as many of your books as I can find!
Speaking as someone who's been writing since my teen years, I think your 13-year-old self is not half-bad! If I got this in an English class as a teacher, I'd probably think: "Oh wow! If this kid keeps practicing, she'll probably be a good writer one day!" I'm working on a fantasy novel at the moment and let me tell you, you were at 13 than I was at the same age lol
This wasn't bad at all for 13-year-olds. The formatting is decent, there are some good word choices, and I have read way, way worse kiss scenes in professionally published books lol. I am a teen who loves to read and sometimes I imagine writing a ya fantasy romance story but I think the embarrassment will fully deter me from ever actually doing it 😭
I'm about to film the story I wrote at 14-15, and I can't handle how cringe it is!!! There's so much garbage that I wrote in it and ackkkk. It'll be so fun.

Very good thoughts, sister. I personally think these kind of programs were inspired by the sexual revolution in the 1960s. The previous generation felt the need to run damage control and ended up making a whole new problem. Remember: Joseph wouldn’t sleep with his master’s wife because it was a sin against God first and foremost. Pretty simple.

I certainly grew up writing stories like these, inventing characters, sometimes together with my friends, and later also writing tons of fan fictions (about Harry Potter, High School Musical and some Animes)... oh and drawings - so many drawings!!!

Yes! By the time women get married they are so scared by sex that it deeply affects their ability to enjoy sex with their spouse and just effects their whole sexual relationship! It's drilled in "don't break your chocolate bar" then you get married and your supposed to embrace that now and multiply the earth. Purity culture is toxic to woman. It's about your relationship with Christ and valuing yourself. And that includes knowing He washes away your sins when you make them.

The argument about Christians that say HP is bad but read Narnia and Lord of the Rings is a poor argument. Other Christians are not the standard. It should only matter what God says about something. He is very clear that sorcery is an abomination. “Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord.” Deuteronomy 18. Anyone - fiction or not.
I’ve watched a couple of world’s strictest parents episodes, and some families take their modesty rules to the extreme. Some families think that not showing their shoulders is something that’s modest when you cover them and I have to disagree with that. There is nothing revealing about going sleeveless. And some families think that being fully covered up allows people to look at me. While that’s true, we also fully cover ourselves for reasons, including not getting sunburned if outside for hours and hours and trying to stay warm when it’s cold outside during the winter months. I’ve worn three pairs of bikinis to go in an infrared sauna, but I never wore a set when going to an indoor swimming pool. I can’t wait to make my own. Modesty comes from the heart. Unless I have to abide by a dress code or a certain countries culture like the Middle East, I otherwise can pretty much wear anything given that I’ve lost a lot of weight over the summer (2023).
