Hey, Jim &Jill from Iowa. Sold our 1997 22ft. Scarab with a built 454 that we bought off show room floor--new !! Sold it back in 2005, went down to the Ozarks. One of biggest mistakes I made but health isssues(heart) forced sale. Looking now to replace it with a go fast boat of that vintage. I am a perfectionist so I am willing to pay for that quirk we both have. Our boat ran in the 80's and I want something similar in size of boat, brand of boat, and speed of boat. I know I won't find one as clean unless it has been fully off-trailer restored!!! My price range is ???? whatever it's worth to me. If you boys know of something --click my icon and call. I have a 2009 500 Vulcan LTD I’m modifying, I’ve got mine with 750 Vulcan forks which drops the rake angle, 3 inch kickback risers and drag bars, with the headlight off a magna, removed my front fender, replaced my front and rear signals with smooth mounts, moving my plate to side axel mount, kept the airbox and stock exhaust because you know cv carbs...Kind of a Frankenstein but she’s my custom! About to put on a new tank and do a Speedo elimination and relocate the instrument cluster, it will be nowhere as sweet as yours but she’s all mine!
Is that back panel removable to put the headlight bulb in? Is the headlight housing mated to the fiberglass or bolted in somehow? Thank you Y’all did an amazing job it’s look amazing!
Hi ALEN = I HAD 1 OF THESE IN 1970 = HAD AN OLD WHITE 50 HP MURK ON IT = SOUNDED LIKE A BOX OF ROCKS IN A CLOTHES DRYER GOING ACROSS THE LAKE = I KNOW THE MOTOR WAS SUBMERGED 2 TIMES = WHEN I BOUGHT THE BOAT FOR 300 $ = MOTOR WOULDNT TURNOVER. = TOOK POWER HEAD OFF = OILED CYLINDERS = LET SIT FOR A WEEK = PUT LEATHER BELT ON FLY WHEEL AND MOVED IT BACK AND FORTH FOR A HOUR THEN HOOKED UP ELECTRIC DRILL TO FLY WHEEL = AND CONTINUED PUTTING OIL IN THE CYLINDERS = PUT NEW DISTRIBUTOR PARTS IN NEW PLUGS AND CLEANED CARBS = I RAN THE SNOT OUT OF THIS LITTLE INVADER FOD 5 MORE YEARS = SHE WAS A GREAT FUN BOAT FOR A 12 YEAR OLD BOY = SOLD IT AT AT AGE 16 AND IT STLL BROUGHT 300 $ = SO OTHER THEN MOTOR = T.L.C. AND GAS & OIL = SHE WAS A KIDS DREAM THANKS
