No the clicking you hear is the injectors. I believe they sound like this being due to them being for direct injection system. Mine sounds exactly the same and sounds smooth with no issues. Do your oil changes, change your spark plugs every 40k miles, air filters and this engine should last you a long time until it’s time to finally change the turbo. There is only three things that you should look out for being 1. Valve cover due to pcv valve being integrated into it and they are known to give out at 90k to 100k miles, 2. Turbo manifold, eventually over time the wastegate flap that is controlled by either your pwg or ewg gets worn out and causes your BMW to get the dreaded p1029 code followed by a drive malfunction fault. You can adjust the wastegate once to compensate for that flap but the next time the code comes back you’ll have to change the turbo no exception. There is nothing you can do due to that flap not closing or sealing properly. 3. The valve tronic motor. This sensor under your valve cover controls your VVT and is what gives you the option of having those 3 modes (eco, casual, sport) by dictating how much your valves open and other things with timing. It will go out and when it does your BMW won’t turn on or idle like CRAP. this one can be avoided for the most part by changing your oil frequently but it will still eventually happen. Other than those 3 issues….. oh yeah NUMBER 4. Water pump. It’s electronic and last about 60k miles so you will change it or have to eventually. That’s it. Most reliable engine after those issues that BMW has ever built. Other than the inline 6 everything else is crap.

My car currently has a rich mixture problem. When the engine warms up, the engine stops and does not start again or runs for 1 second. I am sharing a video and error codes with you, can you help me?
How's your experience at this point? I've had the same system for less than month and my issues are endless. Random audio drops, freezing and then crashing to the menu, and issues with connecting at all.
Props to you for uploading this. Fyi, the n55 has a similar engine layout with the n20/26. The b46/48/58 have a completely different oil filter location and for any xdrive models after 2016, bmw ditched the trapdoor that covers the drain plug
Thanks dude! Yeah, you're right these tips relate more to the n20 than the b58! But the only difference to my knowledge is the filter location(which is in a hard to reach place) and the drain plug situation.
@@josuebut22 no evo is the one you see with widget cards and looks modern... nbt is the one where there is a list that you turn with the knob...it should highlight each thing in a red square... even older cic was red square but just a red outline... that stopped in 2013.... the old e90 series also had this version.
Hey man, so im trying to purchase this module for my 2016 340. I clicked on the link in your description and sent the amazon seller an email but they're unclear whether or not there is support with my car. I was wondering if you could verify whether or not you car is NTBevo or NTB. Mine is NTBevo and weirdly enough my buddies 2016 328i is just NTB. Thanks in advance!
Hey! Just saw this sorry; hopefully you solved your issue. But for others out there, NBT is almost the same as NBT Evo, AFAIK there's no easy way to tell the difference without checking model numbers and such. I used (link below) to check my Manufacture date and determine i was NBT EVO www.bimmer-tech.net/blog/item/54-bmw-cic-nbt-nbtevo#:~:text=BMW%20NBT%20to%20NBT%20Evo,is%20more%20advanced%20and%20versatile.
Thanks for posting this man, I've been looking for a true demo of Carlinkit for too long. One question, does CarPlay turn on night mode (dark theme and dark map) automatically when you turn on the headlight or when it's dark?
I actually never bothered to find out, i leave it in Dark mode all the time. I don't think there's a connection to the headlamp module, i'll wager carplay just uses the time+sunset offset to tell. i can try it later and get back to you. Also i'm glad this video helped at least 1 person! :)
Yes i recorded both with and without updated firmware. In both cases the sonys fared worse, the update however made it much better. Still nowhere near as good unfortunately
Hello oooseun1, I liked your video and it is really inspiring. Keep up the good work. Can you share your mail ID. So that we can start conversation. Thank you :)
This footage is absolutely incredible!! Nicely done!! you should totally share your incredible drone shots over at AirVuz! you should seriously go give it a look!!
Refer to dropbox link in description box i haven't used it long enough to do a review, just got it 3 days ago i recant my statement ion the video about it not being (AF sPeed) as fast as the 28-135, its a hair faster, but surprisingly not as fast as the nifty fifty(or maybe i just have a good copy of that). with that being said, it might be the amount of Glass it moves IDK. but its Def faster than 50 1.4.
So far, everything is fine, it misfocuses/backfocuses a little, and the focus speed isn't as fast as i expected but better than all the canon 50mm's, other than that, its a real solid lens, nice and beautiful optics and good performer. Nice bokeh also
