Thanks for posting this man, I've been looking for a true demo of Carlinkit for too long. One question, does CarPlay turn on night mode (dark theme and dark map) automatically when you turn on the headlight or when it's dark?
I actually never bothered to find out, i leave it in Dark mode all the time. I don't think there's a connection to the headlamp module, i'll wager carplay just uses the time+sunset offset to tell. i can try it later and get back to you. Also i'm glad this video helped at least 1 person! :)
How's your experience at this point? I've had the same system for less than month and my issues are endless. Random audio drops, freezing and then crashing to the menu, and issues with connecting at all.
Hey man, so im trying to purchase this module for my 2016 340. I clicked on the link in your description and sent the amazon seller an email but they're unclear whether or not there is support with my car. I was wondering if you could verify whether or not you car is NTBevo or NTB. Mine is NTBevo and weirdly enough my buddies 2016 328i is just NTB. Thanks in advance!
Hey! Just saw this sorry; hopefully you solved your issue. But for others out there, NBT is almost the same as NBT Evo, AFAIK there's no easy way to tell the difference without checking model numbers and such. @@josuebut22 no evo is the one you see with widget cards and looks modern... nbt is the one where there is a list that you turn with the knob...it should highlight each thing in a red square... even older cic was red square but just a red outline... that stopped in 2013.... the old e90 series also had this version.
