I started this Canadian journey of #VanLife in Jan, of 2021. I suffered from physical disabilities that weren't getting better, I struggled with mental health as I watched my Mother die of dementia. Having lived most my life with pain, and realizing it wasn't going to get better, I made a choice. I decided to retire early, sell everything, and move into a small, self built, 2005 Freightliner Sprinter van. Yup, it was a bit scary at first, but once you catch the bug, theres no turning back. I told myself ..."Brent", you better to start livin', before you start diein'... " Today, we cruise around in a 1993 Chevy Converted BlueBird S'Koolie Conversion Bus. We've traveled from sea to sea, from Victoria BC to Saint Johns, Nwfndlnd. We found cool and let’s say, weird but wonderful places to explore. Come join us on our next adventure.
Brent, your food always looks so tasteful. I Love the way you cook. I'm sure you are grateful that you live in a bus and not a tent. Cozy and comfortable. YES! Your friend, Louise
I like ur weather forcast better than ours here. Off n on rain for 3 hours would be really nice to know. That is the perfect combo, pork chops with cream of mushroom gravy n potatoes. Flavors bind well! Hi everyone! 👋 Lets give Brent some thumbs 👍, subscribe to his channel and share to others. His numbers are still climbing ☝️ 😊 Thanks guys 👏
Happy canada day 👋😁 Oh ya, dont forget to subscribe here! OOOOH YA check out my first videos on my channel @bonnienklyde918 here on youtube! 🙏 please like and subscribe! ❤
Where in Winnipeg were you? You NEVER stay in the core. It is one big reservation with a lot homeless people wandering around looking to see what they can steal. Looks like you are at the Broadway and Maryland Tim's. That is where the RCMP shop used to be, and even they moved out of the neighbourhood. Just saying.....
Thank you for sharing this beginner's experiences. Once he gets over what he thinks it should be and accepts what is, he'll be fine. I know I have to start with baby steps because I have 3 furrbabies, and two of them are seniors with developing physical challenges. They still like to go though, despite not being able to see or hear like they used to!
That is a really cool story about the paperclip. Thank You for sharing. Just found a toothpick, let's see how we can trade that one up 🙂. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
I really enjoyed the videos of you two guys traveling together ❤❤❤❤good luck Andrew I hope you stick it out❤❤❤thanks for sharing Brent these videos are so inspiring ❤❤❤❤❤
terrible sound bud..remember brent youve been at this for many years, and,,,your in a solid bus..very different than a van, i think moving was andrews best move, i am surprised you found it funny, safety is so so important and certainly NOT an overnight thing to get used to
We have only had one bad experience on a vacation but we aren’t full time in our vehicle. We were actually on vacation in the USA from Alberta and figured it would be safe in a Costco parking lot because there was a couple other rv’s. Well at about 3:00 am we hear someone trying to break our lock that’s on our back door 3” from our bed ! (It’s a vintage conversion so it has a padlock) I hammered on the door really hard - got dressed and went out to see what’s up but they had already left. So the next day I told the security what had happened….they instantly said NO WAY-NO WAY THAT DOESNT HAPPEN HERE !! PEOPLE DONT DO THAT HERE !! I said well it happened…he said well it’s a bloody good thing they picked on a Canadian because if it was anyone else they would have fired 3-4 shots through the door and then went out to see what prize they got !! That night we got a knock at around 10:00 and it was security letting us know they are parked over in the corner to see if anybody comes around until 8:00 am so have a good sleep tonight !! and that was probably the best sleep we have ever had !
👋😀👍 I really enjoyed the adventures of Brent and Andrew and their furry friends across the Canadian Prairie. It was cool of you to share nomad travel with Andrew and for us to tag-a-long. I hope Andrew will give it another try some time. Safe travels to you both ❣️
Good video and discussion with Andrew. It could be very helpful to anyone thinking of jumping into this lifestyle. Safe travels to both you and Andrew, and him luck on his future adventures and you also Brent. Peace and Calm to all. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
Hi Brent! Well your friend Andrew is a really nice guy! It was good. You were able to help him with your knowledge of van life, instead of him doing it cold turkey! You guys seemed to really enjoy each others company as well. It was all really interesting, and your talk at the end of this video helped me realize what really is all involved. What a really nice trip and the sharing part was so interesting. I will miss the two of you and your adventures! Even your fur babies got along nicely! Sorry to see the end of your journey together! Great video, take care Andrew, and Mr. Brent and Dude looking forward to more episodes!,😘🙏🏻🐶🎊
