👋🏻 Hello! Thank you for visiting Brompton Family Time channel. We have been in love with Brompton folding bikes and have been riding them for over fifteen years.
We would like to share our passion towards biking with you by making videos. Sometimes it is about visiting the city, cruising in towns/parks and just regular things like getting take out. Also, videos can be about customizing our bikes in the garage or reviews of Brompton related goods.
Our journey as BFT has started from August 31, 2021.
Thank you for considering subscribing to the channel. 🙂
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
Many thanks to share with us that amazing experience again. It looks harder than one year ago, no?. Probably the rain and the wind, the cyclist enemies
Me i bought contact urban last year Just After puncture of my original tyres, now it's already one year, nothing happened. Very robust tyre, highly recommended!🎉🎉🎉
Hi. Thanks for making the video! I just had the same problem with the right pedal! I had so much problem removing it and was so afraid it was stuck! I adjusted it left and right and only finally got it to release! Also, I need some advice with this quick release pedal. Is there a direction in putting the pedals in, because right now, I’m plugging in by turning the pedal until it clicks in which is not ideal. Also, what’s the included white clip for? The pedals came in a brown box with no instructions. Sorry I have a lot of questions. Thanks!
That glass inside the tire is the best advertisement for anti puncture ever haha. I've been riding the same set of continentals for 2 years and somehow mine are still good too! Are you still using the tubolitos with these on the T-line?
Hello Shu Is this the only available CK headset for the T line? Can you recommend another model of CK headset that doesn't require an additional adapter. Thanks.
I was wondering the same thing. I believe they are. I have the CCUs (tan-walled) and the tread looks to be the same as his when he was showing the glass. They're excellent tires -- I'll never go back to anything else!
I have one question aside your subject of the day. Do you ride in the raining time? And did you try The Continental Urban Tires under the rain too? I used the schwalbe marathon plus for years and its ok, good enough for pieces of glass. Anyway I'll try one day the continental, cheers from Brussels!
Thank You. Here in Denmark we normally collect bottles in special containers, if not with a deposit, so they aren't that often met on roads. Finn. Denmark
Thanks for sharing your experience on the Urbans. I still ride on the Ones but have the Urbans on standby. How do they hold up in the NY winters, I.e, in the cold, slush, and light precipitation?
I have been very happy with my continental tires ever since I got them last fall. I had to order them from a sketchy place online because they were out of stock everywhere else, but now we have a Brompton Junction that opened earlier this year and they keep them in stock. 👍 I was getting a bunch of flats on my old Schwabe racers, but I think that’s because they were just getting thin and worn out. After recently riding a loaner Brompton with Schwalbe racers while my Brompton was in the shop, I would say that the continentals just feel better, and smoother.
Agree, agree! The Continentals are extremely durable. Ben only managed to destroy one within a year now and getting a flat 😁 I still haven't had one flat with my Schwalbe Marathons for 4 years now, and we mostly ride together 🤣
Nice ride! My dad use to take me to the movie theater in forest hills 30 years ago. We would enter the grand ave. subway @ 11:05 from our home and arrive @ 15:52 subway station and midway movie theater. Can't believe I'm seeing my childhood on your ride.
Hello Brompton family, I have just bought a C line Brompton explorer I am loving it 😊. I am really enjoying watching your bike rides around New York. I am going to New York on September 20th for a holiday. I am looking forward to it 😊
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ercXc11NDys.htmlsi=1_nOJ1aGVSZVF-0n Hi Family! I’ ve found two upgrades that could be useful for your T-Brompton. Have a nice day!
Awesome vid guys. I live in MA so NY is a trip needing to be planned. Took my Brompton once from Port Imperial via ferry to Midtown and just biked along the Greenway to Brompton Junction and Battery Park. I’d like to do this ride with my son and try that revolving sushi place 😀 Is that segment from Fort Lee to Port Imperial that sketchy? Would it be better to turn around and head back to NY
Thinking of getting a brompton for commute in Manhattan. How often do you draw the attention of ppl trying to mug your bike, or has it been trouble-free? I'm sure the folding motion + brompton name draws attn sometimes.
I have never had any problems with my bike in the city. I would not lock it outside unless you are willing to lose it. I only leave it out in emergencies or if I can visually see it. I don't think anyone will physically try to take it from you. That is from my experience.
those cars parked in the bike lane in the forest hills area...they had to have dodged through or run over the flexi-posts to get there.😩 at least you were able to go around some of those cars without needing to leave bike lane sometimes.
