12-13 seconds 60-130mph time. It’s not quick but decent I guess for stock turbo? Is20 GTIs do mid to low 11 second range on stock turbo. Some in the 10s and they small turbos. Lol
Not entirely true. We all know knock is one of the biggest reasons for ringland failure. Cylinder 4 cooling mod isn't going to help if you had a bad spot in your tune and find it. Or bad gas. Or other failure. I have never done done mod on any of my builds. You can check out my channel for my other wrx hybrid build. Never did that mod. Enjoyed hat car for almost 9 years on that build. Sold with great compression across the board and car is still running and healthy today. Same with this STI. 84k miles on the clock and passed the compression and leak down test eith flying colors August 31st this year.
So cool that it’s pulling this hard with the stock VF48, awesome video man! I have a 2015 STi and I can’t wait to get a built block I might get a stage 2.5 tuff block, still indecisive, I do know that I want at least 450whp 😈
Thanks man! Yes this stock turbo has surprised the heck out of me! I'm going rotated later this year. I can not wait for that! Gonna be a riot haha. I'll have videos of it as soon as it is all done. I relocated to Gulf Shores Alabama and there is a much bigger car scene out here. Hoping to get some runs in with some more formidable cars soon and get those videos uploaded for people to see how a FBO stock turbo sti can do.
Yes, originally I was seeing 24+ psi but it has settled at 21psi. I dont know if the day or two of 24psi was an anomaly but I do not see that pressure any longer.
No I am running a IAG Turbo Tough stage 2 Block. Picked up from a guy locally who "went a different route" haha. It is the oem bore just upgraded internals and semi closed deck.
Working on another one. I have a buddy with a stage 2 FBO MK7 GTI W/DSG that wants to have some runs this week some time after work and another friend who just finished restoring his Neon SRT4 that wants to see how he stacks. More vids on the way.
@@maxkingjames3593 I do. archie_flowers_3 is my IG account. I have pics from some of my previous builds on there as well. Need to get more active sharing some of the stuff I have going on but work has been nuts for the last 18 or so months lol.
Hahaha! Yeah man this thing drinks the fuel quickly lol. I was actually trying to suck up the rest of my e85 (actually e68 at the time of the pull) so I can refill with E85 at a different station lol.
@@joseruiz-rv4qz Not a single chance he’s on E85 with EWG and only 325whp. I’m saying 380whp range minimum. Without knowing the rest of his mods. Stock STI’s with flex hit 360whp without anything else. My 16’ STI is 320WHP pro tuned with just downpipe and intake & fuel pump. He’s on flex with EWG so I’d imagine 375+ WHP guaranteed
@@joseruiz-rv4qz Okay I just read the description and saw his mods. At least 400WHP, He has a complete full bolt on with just the turbo missing. With a new turbo, he could hit 450WHP super easily. I’d say he’s at 415WHP
@@DomGrady97 thanks man. I am very happy with the tune. It is super conservative and still pulls really good. Logs look really good too. Money well spent. Probably going with a rotated set up next spring after the snow passes. I want to do a gtx3582r set up.
@@98dc2gsr575 soon enough here I'm going back to stock on my wrx and trading it for a 19+ sti cause those engines are suppose to run 550hp reliably on stock block. So I'll be able to have some fun too lmao
i have a speed density map with launch control and antilag with switch button.. but i dont have able the maf sensor... i want to back to stock... because i hate the idle of the car is so disgusting... want to keep the antilag/launch control...
@@Pipemoscoso12 I kept my MAF sensor and used it for the IAT sensor. I didnt have mine set up with a switch. It just functioned like any launch control. Clutch in and put your foot in the firewall haha. To go back to stock you should just be able to run you stock ecu as long as the map is correct for your set up. I dont think you can do this type of launch control on a factory ecu though. I'd consult with your tuner on that one. Hope that helps.
Jon Widmer thanks man! I absolutely love your channel! I Unfortunately had to sell the teg for my move/relocation to the east coast. we bought another home and needed the cash to fund a lift for my new 1,800 sq ft garage. I'll be able to work far more comfortably and get more done "in-house" now. MORE VIDEOS OF HONDA BUILDS COMING VERY SOON!
Jon Widmer yeah my house sold very quickly in Las cruces and we found our dream home and property out in the woods and made an offer that week. we are working on sewing it all up and having the keys in the next 30 days. I plan on another Integra build and possibly a MK6 GTI as my dd.
Motor Nubs this was actually on a base map. the car made 409whp at 31psi on a conservative tune. more videos to come soon. also starting a 350z single turbo full build video soon.
I ran carberry on my 03 and now I have an 04. I know you can swap ECU's but did you only do it for that? the 04 32bit is so much better all around vs the 16bit 02-03
it may be a better unit but switching to speed density mapping was the best thing I ever did for my wrx with that set up. when done right it's magical hahaha.
Your right but I was able to swap in a 2003 ecu and upload the speed densitt map. Super simple and very worth it. I need to make a new video of the current power. I have recently walked a 2002 6 speed corvette and 2015 challenger rt (no surprise there haha they are slow)
+Mario McBride It's by far the best mod I've done. you will need to relocate you iat to the throttle body or close to it as to get accurate measurements. so swap ecu tap and place iat and tune.
ya i hear ya Mark Fulcher just making a video of it running through the rpm range to be honest. it was my first VW i own a 04 WRX and i was surprised at how well it pulled for what it was. bought it for $2350 and sold it for $4100 so i made out like a bandit. since selling it i would like to get back into another one haha liked the way the looked and rode.
